NOTE   Specific requirements for particular types of cranes, and for load lifting attachments, are given in the appropriate European Standard.
The electrical equipment covered by this European Standard commences at the point of connection of the supply to the crane (the crane supply switch) including systems for power supply and control feeders situated outside the crane, e.g. flexible cables, conductor wires or bars, electric motors and cableless controls.
The principles to be applied for cranes transporting hazardous loads are given in this standard. Particular requirements are given for cranes transporting hot molten metal.
The standard does not cover the detail design of individual items of equipment except with regard to their selection for specific aspects of use.
In general, the proof of competence calculations and related strength requirements or safety margins of equipment and components are not covered by this standard. These questions are covered in EN 13001 parts 1 and 2, and in the EN 13001-3 series that is partly under preparation (see Annex A). Exceptionally, some safety margins are given here for items not covered in EN 13001-series.
Hazards due to noise are not covered by this standard. They are addressed in safety standards specific to each type of crane.
The specific hazards due to potentially explosive atmospheres, ionising radiation, and operation in electromagnetic fields beyond the range of EN 61000-6-2 are not covered by this European Standard.
The significant hazards covered by this European Standard are identified in Clause 4.
This European Standard is not applicable to cranes, which are manufactured before the date of publication by CEN of this standard.

This document specifies requirements for industrial piping either totally buried or partly buried and partly run in sleeves or similar protection. It is used in conjunction with the other six parts of EN 13480.
Where buried piping subject to this standard connects to piping installed under other jurisdiction such as pipelines, the transition should be made at a closing element e.g. an isolating or regulating valve separating the two sections. This should be close to the boundary of the industrial site, but may be inside or outside the boundary.
Operating temperature up to 75 °C.
NOTE   For higher temperatures reference should be made to EN 13941+A1:2010, but it should be kept in mind, that CEN/TC 107 only deals with pre-insulated piping with temperatures up to 140 °C and diameters up to 800 mm, which is state of the art for these products.

NOTE Blue coloured text within this document indicates text aligned with CISPR 32. CISPR 32 contains the
appropriate emission requirements above 150 kHz for the equipment within the scope of this document.
This document applies to multimedia equipment (MME) as defined in 3.1.24 and having a
rated AC or DC supply voltage not exceeding 600 V.
MME within the scope of CISPR 20 or CISPR 24 is within the scope of this document.
MME with a broadcast reception function is within the scope of this document, see Annex A.
MME with non-broadcast wireless interfaces is also within the scope of this document,
however, compliance with this document does not require the assessment of the performance
of these interfaces.
MME intended primarily for professional use is within the scope of this document.
MME for which immunity requirements in the frequency range covered by this document are
explicitly formulated in other CISPR documents (except CISPR 20 and CISPR 24) are
excluded from the scope of this document.
The objectives of this document are:
• to establish requirements which provide an adequate level of intrinsic immunity so that the
MME will operate as intended in its environment in the frequency range 0 kHz to 400 GHz;
• to specify procedures to ensure the reproducibility of tests and the repeatability of results.
Due to technology convergence of the functions of MME, the performance criteria have been
determined on a function-orientated basis rather than on an equipment-orientated basis.

NOTE   Once this European Standard is published in the EU Official Journal (OJEU) under Directive 97/23/EC, presumption of conformity to the Essential Safety Requirements (ESRs) of Directive 97/23/EC is limited to technical data of materials in this European Standard and does not presume adequacy of the material to a specific item of equipment. Consequently, the assessment of the technical data stated in this material standard against the design requirements of this specific item of equipment to verify that the ESRs of Directive 97/23/EC are satisfied, needs to be done.

This part of IEC 61000 specifies EMC immunity requirements which apply to electrical and
electronic equipment intended for use in power stations and substations, as described below.
Immunity requirements for electromagnetic phenomena with spectral contributions in the
frequency range 0 Hz to 400 GHz are covered. No tests need to be performed at frequencies
or for phenomena where no requirements are specified.
This international standard sets immunity test requirements for equipment intended for use in
the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and related telecommunication
systems. The electromagnetic environments encompassed by this standard are those which
exist at locations
• in power stations, and
• in high and medium voltage substations.
Installations to generate or convert into electrical power inside industrial facilities are also
covered by this standard as long as they, at their primary electrical connection, cannot be
directly connected to the LV power network, e.g. where the generator output voltage is
medium voltage or higher. Power installations that directly provide power into the low voltage
network (such as photovoltaic cells or combined heat power systems in private houses) are
not covered by this standard.
NOTE 1 In general, power stations comprise installations which are mainly built to convert some kind of primary
energy into electrical energy. Moreover, these power stations are connected to the medium or high voltage power
system directly or via a step-up transformer.
The object of this standard is to define immunity test requirements for equipment defined in
the scope in relation to continuous and transient, conducted and radiated disturbances,
including electrostatic discharges.
The immunity test requirements are given on a port-by-port basis, and selected according to
the location, with differentiated levels for equipment to be installed in power stations or
substations. In special cases, situations will arise where the level of electromagnetic
disturbances may exceed the levels specified in this standard; in these instances, special
mitigation measures should be adopted.
The immunity requirements are suitable for satisfying the particular needs related to the
functions and tasks of equipment and systems, for which reliable operation is required under
realistic electromagnetic conditions; in this respect, this standard establishes performance
criteria for different functional requirements.
This generic EMC immunity standard is applicable if no relevant dedicated product or productfamily
EMC immunity standard exists. According to IEC Guide 107, this generic standard
should be considered for the preparation or revision of any EMC standard referring to specific
products used in power stations and substations.Non-electronic high voltage and power equipment (primary system) are excluded from the
scope of this standard.
Emission requirements are not within the scope of this standard and are covered by relevant
product or product-family standards

This European Standard specifies requirements for conformity assessment of performance characteristics for structural steel and aluminium components as well as for kits placed on the market as construction products. The conformity assessment covers the manufacturing characteristics, and where appropriate the structural design characteristics. This European Standard covers also the conformity assessment of steel components used in composite steel and concrete structures.
The components can be used directly or in construction works or as structural components in the form of kits. This European Standard applies to series and non-series structural components including kits. The components can be made of hot rolled or cold formed constituent products or constituent products produced with other technologies. They may be produced of sections/profiles with various shapes, flat products (plates, sheet, strip), bars, castings, forgings made of steel and aluminium materials, unprotected or protected against corrosion by coating or other surface treatment, e.g. anodising of aluminium. This European Standard covers structural cold formed members and sheeting as defined in EN 1993-1-3 and EN 1999-1-4. This European Standard does not cover conformity assessment of components for suspended ceilings, rails or sleepers for use in railway systems. NOTE   For certain steel and aluminium components, particular specifications for performance and other requirements have been developed. The particular specifications may be issued as an EN or as Clauses within an EN. An example is given in EN 13084-7 for single wall steel chimneys and steel liners. Such particular specifications will take precedence in case of non-compliance with the requirements of this European Standard.

This part of IEC 61534 specifies general requirements and tests for powertrack (PT) systems with a rated voltage not exceeding 277 V a.c. single phase, or 480 V a.c. two or three phase 50 Hz/60 Hz with a rated current not exceeding 63 A. These systems are used for distributing electricity in household, commercial and industrial premises.
