This document defines an extended colour-gamut output-referred RGB colour image encoding
designated as European Colour Initiative RGB [eciRGB (2008)]. Digital images encoded using eciRGB
(2008) can be manipulated, stored, transmitted, displayed, or printed by digital still picture imaging
systems. Two precision levels are defined, using 8 bits/channel and 16 bits/channel.

This document specifies a family of scene-referred extended colour gamut RGB colour image encodings designated as reference input medium metric RGB (RIMM RGB). Digital images encoded using RIMM RGB can be manipulated, stored, transmitted, displayed or printed by digital still picture imaging systems. Three precision levels are defined using 8-, 12- and 16-bits/channel.
An extended luminance dynamic range version of RIMM RGB is also defined, designated as extended reference input medium metric RGB (ERIMM RGB). Two precision levels of ERIMM RGB are defined using 12- and 16-bits/channel.
FP-RIMM RGB, a floating point version of RIMM RGB, defines the expression method of RIMM RGB in a floating point figure. Three precision levels of FP-RIMM RGB are defined using 16-, 32- and 64-bits/channel.

This International Standard specifies letter codes for designation of colours and provides rules for their combination to designate colour combinations. The letter codes are intended to be applied in the technical documentation of industrial installations, equipment and products, and in markings of equipment and products.
This basic safety publication is primarily intended for use by technical committees in the preparation of standards in accordance with the principles laid down in IEC Guide 104 and ISO/IEC Guide 51.
It is not intended for use by manufacturers or certification bodies. One of the responsibilities of a technical committee is, wherever applicable, to make use of basic safety publications in the preparation of its publications. The requirements of this basic safety publication will not apply unless specifically referred to or included in the relevant publications.
This International Standard does not specify any requirements for the encoding of colour properties, nor for their visual representation. Such requirements are under the responsibility of the different technical committees.

This document establishes the technical specifications for compression springs made from rectangular wires. The parameters set in this document are applicable to springs which are set. This document does not attempt to specify the quality of the springs themselves, nor all of their dimensions (e.g. cross-section), their material or their length of life. The springs are classified into spring rates: light, medium, strong and extra strong. For each spring rate, this document gives a colour code.

ISO 3864-2:2016 establishes additional principles to ISO 3864‑1 for the design of safety labels for products, i.e. any items manufactured and offered for sale in the normal course of commerce, including but not limited to consumer products and industrial equipment. The purpose of a product safety label is to alert persons to a specific hazard and to identify how the hazard can be avoided. ISO 3864-2:2016 is applicable to all products in all industries where safety-related questions can be posed. However, it is not applicable to safety labels used - for chemicals, - for the transport of dangerous substances and preparations and - in those sectors subject to legal regulations which differ from certain provisions of this document. The design principles incorporated in this document are intended to be used by all ISO Technical Committees and anyone designing product safety labels in the development of product safety label standards for their industries or services.

ISO 8843:2005 establishes a system for identifying crimp-removable contacts for electrical connectors. The system specified in this International Standard consists of two colour bands around the external diameter of the crimp barrel and, for thermocouple or high-temperature contacts, of additional letters or of a colour point; the system, however, does not preclude further means being used to identify additional parameters, such as cable size and material. This contact identification system applies, when specified, to ISO standard contacts. The use of the system is recommended for contacts of both the preferred and non-preferred types. In contacts of the preferred type, the contact active portion and the wire gauge accepted by the contact barrel have the same size. In contacts of the non-preferred type, the size of the active portion of the contact differs from the wire gauge accepted by the crimp barrel.
