This document specifies the symbols, i.e. conventional signs, used to identify certain controls, indicators and tell-tales on a motorcycle/moped[1] and to facilitate their usage. This document also indicates the colours of possible optical tell-tales which warn the rider of the operation or malfunctioning of the related devices and equipment. This document is applicable to those controls, indicators and tell-tales, which, when used, are fitted on the instrument panel or in the immediate vicinity of the motorcycle/moped rider. [1] "Motorcycle/moped" as defined in ISO 3833 but does not include a steering wheel type.

ISO 11532:2018 establishes common graphical symbols for use on all types of aircraft ground support equipment.
They have been compiled for the benefit of those who deal with such equipment, such as airlines, airport handling agencies, airport authorities, manufacturers, etc., in order to facilitate fast and accurate identification of controls, indicators and decals of powered and unpowered equipment.
The presentation of this document is based on the recommendations of ISO/TC 145, Graphical symbols.
ISO 11532:2018 is also intended to promote standardization of terms for controls, indicators, etc. for aircraft ground support equipment and alleviate language problems.
These graphical symbols are intended to be placed on all new equipment and retrofitted on all existing equipment as far as possible.

This document specifies methods for the clear identification of secondary cells, batteries,
battery modules and monoblocs according to their chemistry (electrochemical storage
technology).
The markings described in this document are applicable for secondary cells, batteries, battery
modules and monoblocs with a volume of more than 900 cm3.
The marking of the chemistry is useful for the installation, operation and decommissioning
phases of battery life.
Many recycling processes are chemistry specific, thus undesired events can occur when a
battery which is not of the appropriate chemistry enters a given recycling process. In order to
ensure safe handling during sorting and recycling processes, therefore, the battery is marked
so as to identify its chemistry.
This document defines the conditions of utilization of the markings indicating the chemistry of
these secondary batteries.
The details of markings and their application are defined in this document.
NOTE Nothing in this document precludes the marking of batteries with recycling and chemistry symbols required
by state, federal, national or regional laws or regulations or with a seal under license by a national recycling
program.

NEW!IEC 60445:2017 is available as IEC 60445:2017 RLV which contains the International Standard and its Redline version, showing all changes of the technical content compared to the previous edition.IEC 60445:2017 applies to the identification and marking of terminals of electrical equipment such as resistors, fuses, relays, contactors, transformers, rotating machines and, wherever applicable, to combinations of such equipment (e.g. assemblies), and also applies to the identification of terminations of certain designated conductors. It also provides general rules for the use of certain colours or alphanumeric notations to identify conductors with the aim of avoiding ambiguity and ensuring safe operation. These conductor colours or alphanumeric notations are intended to be applied in cables or cores, busbars, electrical equipment and installations. This basic safety publication is primarily intended for use by technical committees in the preparation of standards in accordance with the principles laid down in IEC Guide 104 and ISO/IEC Guide 51. It has the status of a basic safety publication in accordance with IEC Guide 104.This sixth edition cancels and replaces the fifth edition of IEC 60445, published in 2010. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: a) the text of the introduction has been moved into the scope in accordance with IEC Guide 104; b) colour codes for the identification of line conductors of DC systems; c) colour code for the identification of functional earthing conductor; d) update of Table A.1with colour codes for DC line conductors; e) conversion of notes containing non-mandatory requirements to normative text; f) the terminology is aligned with IEC 60050-195.

ISO 16069:2017 describes the principles governing the design and application of visual components used to create a safety way guidance system (SWGS). ISO 16069:2017 contains general principles valid both for electrically powered and for phosphorescent components. Special information which is related to the type of component is given to assist in defining the environment of use, choice of material, layout, installation and maintenance of SWGS. ISO 16069:2017 does not cover risk assessment. Applications with different risks to the occupants typically require different layouts and types of SWGS. The specific application and exact final design of SWGS is entrusted to those persons responsible for this task. ISO 16069:2017 also does not include the special considerations of possible tactile or audible components of SWGS, nor does it include requirements for high mounted components of the emergency escape route lighting, especially the design and application of emergency escape route lighting. ISO 16069:2017 is intended, by collaboration and coordination, to be used by all other Technical Committees within ISO and IEC charged with developing SWGS for their specific requirements. ISO 16069:2017 is not to be used for ships falling under regulations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

ISO 3864-2:2016 establishes additional principles to ISO 3864‑1 for the design of safety labels for products, i.e. any items manufactured and offered for sale in the normal course of commerce, including but not limited to consumer products and industrial equipment. The purpose of a product safety label is to alert persons to a specific hazard and to identify how the hazard can be avoided. ISO 3864-2:2016 is applicable to all products in all industries where safety-related questions can be posed. However, it is not applicable to safety labels used - for chemicals, - for the transport of dangerous substances and preparations and - in those sectors subject to legal regulations which differ from certain provisions of this document. The design principles incorporated in this document are intended to be used by all ISO Technical Committees and anyone designing product safety labels in the development of product safety label standards for their industries or services.

IEC TR 62964:2015(E) provides the result of a study of some of the graphical symbols for use on equipment standardized in IEC 60417 being primarily intended to:
- identify the equipment or a part of the equipment (e.g. a control or display);
- indicate a functional state (e.g. on, off, alarm);
- designate connections (e.g. terminals, filling points for materials);
- provide information on packaging (e.g. identification of contents, instructions for handling);
- provide instruction for the operation of the equipment (e.g. limitations of use);
- in the focus of contemporary use of graphical symbols for use on multimedia equipment, and new possible meanings to be envisaged as well as new graphical symbols not yet standardized in IEC 60417.

This International Standard specifies graphical symbols for dental equipment. It is intended that the
symbols are to be used on the appropriate piece of dental equipment and in documents pertaining
to dental equipment, for example in instructions for use, marking, labelling, and technical product
documentation.
The symbols are selected specifically for all kinds of dental equipment. The majority of the symbols
are taken from relevant ISO, IEC, or other international documents. Several new symbols presented by
manufacturers or users have been added.
NOTE In addition to terms used in two of the three official ISO languages (English, French, and Russian),
this International Standard gives the equivalent terms in the German language; these are published under the
responsibility of the member body for Germany (DIN). However, only the terms given in the official languages can
be considered as ISO terms.
