ISO 6467:2018 specifies a potentiometric method for the determination of the vanadium content of ferrovanadium. The method is applicable to vanadium contents between 35,0 % and 85,0 % (mass fraction) in ferrovanadium.

ISO 5446:2017 specifies requirements and conditions of delivery for ferromanganese usually supplied for steelmaking and foundry use.

Specifies requirements and conditions of delivery for ferroboron usually supplied for steelmaking and foundry use.

The method is based on drying of an air-dried test portion to constant mass in a laboratory oven at 105 °C to 110 °C, and measurement of the loss in mass. The determination is intended to be carried out simultaneously with that of other constituents of the same analytical sample, so that the contents of the other constituents can be calculated on the basis of the absolutely dry ore. Should be read in conjunction with ISO 4297.

The method is applicable to products having an iron content between 0,2 % (m/m) and 10 % (m/m). ISO 9681 should be read in conjunction with ISO 4297. Specifies principle, reagents, apparatus, sampling and samples, procedure, and expression of results.

Applies to natural or processed manganese ores. The methods are applicable to size determination utilizing one or more sieves. ISO 6230 is intended to provide a basis for testing and for use of this material. When it is used for comparative purposes, agreements should be reached between the producer and the consumer in respect of the detailed method in order to eliminate sources of controversy.

Specifies methods of preparing samples of chromium ores for determining the chemical composition and moisture content of a consignment. The methods are applicable to natural or processed ores.

Specifies methods for taking samples of chromium ores to be used at the places of dispatch and acceptance of ores for determining the chemical composition and moisture content of a consignment. The methods are applicable to both the manual and mechanical sampling of natural or processed ores. Details of the hammer and shovel method are given in annex A.

The photometric method (A) is applicable to products having aluminium contents from 0,1 to 1,5 % (m/m), the oxine gravimetric method (B) is applicable to products having aluminium contents over 1,5 % (m/m). The methods are carried out on the gross sample or sub-sample obtained from a ferroalloy consignment according to the methods prescribed in the relevant International Standard. The methods are applicable to the taking of increments of crushable ferroalloys but are not applicable to uncrushable ferroalloys of which increments are taken by boring.
