IEC 62056-7-5:2016 specifies DLMS/COSEM communication profiles for transmitting metering data modelled by COSEM interface objects through a Local Data Transmission Interface (LDTI). The LDTI may be part of a meter or of a Local Network Access Point (LNAP) hosting a DLMS/COSEM server.

L'IEC 62056-7-5:2016 spécifie les profils de communication DLMS/COSEM pour la transmission des données de comptage modélisées par les objets d'interface COSEM par l'intermédiaire d'une interface de transmission de données locales (LDTI). La LDTI peut faire partie d'un compteur ou d'un point d'accès au réseau local (LNAP) hébergeant un serveur DLMS/COSEM.

Ta del standarda IEC 62056 določa komunikacijske profile DLMS/COSEM za izmenjevanje merilnih podatkov, modeliranih z vmesniškimi objekti COSEM prek vmesnika za izmenjavo podatkov lokalne mreže (LDTI). Vmesnik za izmenjavo podatkov lokalne mreže je lahko del števca ali dostopne točke lokalne mreže (LNAP), v kateri gostuje strežnik DLMS/COSEM.
Glavno besedilo tega standarda določa skupne vidike različnih komunikacijskih profilov za vmesnik za izmenjavo podatkov lokalne mreže.
Dodatki določajo elemente, ki so značilni za komunikacijske protokole. Dodatki so sestavni del tega mednarodnega standarda.
Dodatek A (normativni) določa komunikacijski profil s protokolom, določenim v standardu IEC 62056-21. Točka A.1 določa komunikacijski profil, ki podpira aplikacijsko plast DLMS/COSEM, točka A.2 pa določa komunikacijski profil s podedovanim načinom D. Fizični vmesnik je optični vmesnik, določen v standardu IEC 62056-21:2002, 4.3.
Dodatek B (normativni) določa komunikacijski profil s protokolom, določenim v standardu IEC 62056-3-1. Točka B.1 določa komunikacijski profil, ki podpira aplikacijsko plast DLMS/COSEM, točka B.2 pa določa komunikacijski profil s podedovanim načinom. Fizični vmesnik je sukana parica s signalizacijo po nosilcu in je poznan kot vodilo Euridis.
Dodatek C (normativni) določa komunikacijski profil na podlagi profila, določenega v standardu IEC 62056-7-6, ki temelji na 3-plastnem, povezovalno naravnanem profilu DLMS/COSEM na osnovi HDLC. Fizični vmesnik je RS 485 ali TIA-232-F.
Dodatek D (normativni) določa komunikacijski profil s fizično plastjo, določeno v standardu EN 13757-2, in podatkovno povezovalno plastjo na podlagi HDLC, določeno v standardu IEC 62056-46. Fizični vmesnik je sukana parica s signalizacijo v osnovnem pasu.
Dodatek E (normativni) določa komunikacijski profil s protokolom UDP/IP. Fizična plast ne spada na področje uporabe tega mednarodnega standarda.
Komunikacijski profili iz točk A.1 in B.1 ter dodatkov C, D in E podpirajo aplikacijsko plast DLMS/COSEM.
Dodatek F (informativni) določa primer konfiguracije vmesnika za izmenjavo podatkov lokalne mreže.
Dodatek G (informativni) navaja primere kodiranja.
Dodatni komunikacijski profili za druge medijske/komunikacijske protokole se lahko dodajo
v prihodnosti. Področje uporabe teh komunikacijskih profilov je omejeno na vidike v zvezi z uporabo
komunikacijskih protokolov skupaj s podatkovnimi modeli DLMS/COSEM. Podatkovne strukture, značilne za določen komunikacijski protokol, naj bi bile opredeljene v posebnih standardih glede protokolov. Morebitne definicije podatkovnih struktur in vsebine podatkov za posamezen projekt morajo biti vključene v spremljevalnih specifikacijah za posamezen projekt.
