IEC 63399:2024 applies to household and similar electrical rice cookers.
This document defines the main performance characteristics that are of interest to the user and specifies methods for measuring these characteristics.
This document does not specify the requirements for performance.
This document does not apply to the pressure type rice cooker or the micro-pressure rice cooker.
This document does not apply to rice cookers with the rated volume of rice cooker larger than 8 L.
The pressure type rice cooker refers to a rice cooker that cooks at a pressure more than 40 kPa.
The micro-pressure rice cooker refers to a rice cooker that cooks at a pressure larger than 10 kPa but not more than 40 kPa.
This document does not deal with safety requirements (covered in IEC 60335-2-15).

IEC 60704-2-15:2024 applies to single unit electric food waste disposers for household use, with or without automatic program control, for cold water supply, for permanent connection to water supply and sewage systems, intended for connection to the kitchen sink drain and contained within a kitchen cabinet enclosure. Food waste disposers for restaurants, hotels and industry purposes are excluded. This first edition cancels and replaces the first edition of IEC/PAS 60704-2-15, published in 2008. This edition constitutes a technical revision.
This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to IEC/PAS 60704 2-15:2008:
a) measurement uncertainty and standard deviations have been reviewed;
b) definitions of standard test programme and standard test load have been reviewed;
c) definition of the test enclosure has been reviewed;
d) additional microphone position for test in free field environment;
e) information to be reported has been reviewed;
f) aligned to IEC 60704-1:2021.
This Part 2-15 is intended to be used in conjunction with the fourth edition of IEC 60704-1:2021, Household and similar electrical appliances - Test code for the determination of airborne acoustical noise - Part 1: General requirements.

IEC 60704-2-9:2024 applies to electric hand-held hairdryers for household and similar use supplied from mains, which operate with a flow of air. These particular requirements can also be applied to analogous electrically operated devices such as hairstyling appliances, which produce the airflow by a fan. Helmet-type hairdryers are excluded from this document. This document does not apply to hair care appliances with radiant heating. For determining and verifying noise emission values declared in product specifications, see IEC 60704-3. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2003. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:

IEC 62947-1:2022 specifies test methods to measure the performance of electrically operated spray seats for household and similar use.
This document applies to spray seats, including tank-type spray seats, instantaneous-type spray seats and combination-type spray seats.
This document does not apply to the electrically operated spray seats that are intended for medical and/or assistive functions
This International Standard does not specify acoustical noise requirements for electrical spray seats. Acoustical noise measurements are specified in IEC 60704-1 and the IEC 60704-2 series.

IEC 61855:2022 applies to electrical appliances for household and similar use for drying and styling hair (including their accessories).
This document defines the main performance characteristics that are of interest to the user and specifies methods of measuring these characteristics.
Appliances to which this document applies include:
– Hair dryers;
– Hair curlers;
– Hair straighteners.
This document does not specify the requirements for performance.
This document does not deal with safety requirements (IEC 60335-2-23).
This document does not apply to electric hair clippers or trimmers.

IEC 63174:2021 applies to electrically operated toothbrushes used for electric cleaning of teeth. Rechargeable toothbrushes and primary battery operated toothbrushes, both for adults and children, are within the scope of this document.
This document describes the test methods for measurement of the performance parameters as listed in Clause 4.
The purpose of this document is only to specify the measurement method; it does not define any limit values.

IEC 60704-2-8:2020 applies to electric shavers, clippers or trimmers for domestic and similar use, supplied from mains or secondary batteries or primary batteries. The term "similar use" is understood to mean the use in hotels, hospitals, shops, offices, etc. This document does not apply to shavers, clippers or trimmers that are powered by means other than electrical, for example by a spring-device. This Part 2-8 is intended to be used in conjunction with third edition (2010) of IEC 60704-1, Household and similar electrical appliances - Test code for the determination of airborne acoustical noise - Part 1: General requirements. This Part 2-8 supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses in IEC 60704-1:2010, so as to establish the test code for shavers, hair clippers or trimmers.

IEC 60704-2-7:2020 applies to electrical fans (including their accessories and their component parts) for household and similar use, designed for AC or DC supply. The motor, the impeller and their housing, if any, form a single unit. These particular requirements apply to:
– conventional fans,
– table fans,
– pedestal fans,
– ceiling fans,
– bladeless fans,
– wall bracket fans,
– ceiling bracket fans,
– louver fans,
– tower fans,
– ventilating and partition ventilating fans.
This standard does not apply to:
– fans that are part of a ventilation system,
– fans designed exclusively for industrial purposes,
– fans that are part of an appliance (for example cooling fans),
– fans with additional functions (for example heating, humidifying).
Limitations for the use of this test code are given in the scope of IEC 60704-1.

IEC 60879:2019 specifies the performance-measuring methods of comfort fans and regulators for household and similar purposes, including conventional fans, tower fans and bladeless fans, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase fans and 480 V for other fans, and their rated power input being less than 125 W.
According to the testing method, the comfort fans are classified into two groups:
– pedestal fans, table fans, wall fans, louvre fans, tower fans, bladeless fans;
– ceiling fans.
Wherever applicable, the term "fan" used in this document includes its associated regulator, if any.
This document does not apply to:
– safety of electric fans for household and similar purposes (IEC 60335-2-80);
– performance of ventilating fans (IEC 60665);
– electromagnetic compatibility of fans (CISPR 14-1 and CISPR 14-2, IEC 61000-3-2, IEC 61000-3-3).

IEC 60665:2018 specifies the performance and the corresponding methods of test of AC ventilating fans for household and similar purposes intended for air forcing and exhaust, driven by single-phase AC motors having a power consumption of less than 125 W (including any associated regulators) for use on single-phase AC circuits not exceeding 250 V.
This document applies to ventilating fans such as partition fans for walls and windows and duct fans.
This document does not apply to:
- the safety of electric fans for household and similar purposes (IEC 60335-2- 80);
- the performance of comfort fans (IEC 60879);
- range hoods and other cooking fume extractors (IEC 61591);
- airborne acoustic noise for fans (IEC 60704-2-7);
- electromagnetic compatibility of fans (CISPR 14-1 and CISPR 14-2, IEC 61000-3-2, IEC 61000-3-3).

IEC 62863:2017 applies to reciprocating electric hair clippers or trimmers for household use.

This document does not specify safety or performance requirements.
This document does not apply to professional hair clippers or trimmers, animal shearers and animal clippers, or shavers. For shavers, refer to IEC 61254.
This document does not cover safety requirements (see IEC 60335-2-8).

IEC 60311:2016 applies to electric irons for household or similar use.
The purpose of this document is to state and define the principal performance characteristics of electric irons for household or similar use which are of interest to the user and to describe the standard methods for measuring these characteristics. Electric irons covered by this standard include
- dry irons;
- steam irons;
- vented steam irons with motor pump;
- spray irons;
- steam irons with separate water reservoir or boiler/generator having a capacity not exceeding 5 l.
This document is concerned neither with safety nor with performance requirements. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
a) 5.3: introduction of clarifications on voltage and frequency to be applied for the tests;
b) 5.12: introduction of an anti-circumvention subclause;
c) 9.2.3: clarification on the procedure for measuring steaming rate;
