This part of EN 50598 specifies the process and requirements to implement environmentally conscious product design principles, to evaluate ecodesign performance and to communicate potential environmental impacts for power electronics (e.g. complete drive modules, CDM), power drive systems and motor starters, all used for motor driven equipment in the power range of 0,12 kW up to 1 000 kW and low voltage (up to 1 000 V) applications over the whole life cycle. It defines the content for 2 different environmental declarations based on EN ISO 14021: - The basic version - which, in this context, will be referred to as an environmental declaration type II, with basic data and qualitative statements on ecodesign. - The full version - which, in this context, will be referred to as an environmental declaration type II+, based upon a life cycle assessment and including quantitatively evaluated potential environmental impacts. For that the general principles of EN ISO 14025 are taken into account and product category rules [PCR] for motor system components are included to ensure a harmonized approach. This part of EN 50598 is harmonized with the applicable generic and horizontal environmental standards and contains the additional details relevant in this context for the above mentioned products.

Dieser Teil von EN 50598 legt den Prozess der Implementierung von Grundsätzen für ein umweltbewusstes Produktdesign, der Bewertung der Ökodesignleistung und der Kommunikation der möglichen Umweltwirkun-gen von Antriebssystemen, Motorstartern, Leistungselektronik (z. B. vollständigen Antriebsmodulen, CDM) für Motorantriebsanwendungen im Niederspannungsbereich (unter 1 000 V) und im Leistungsbereich von 0,12 kW bis 1 000 kW über den gesamten Lebenszyklus und die entsprechenden Anforderungen fest. Er legt den Inhalt von zwei verschiedenen Arten von Umweltdeklarationen fest: – die Grundversion, eine Typ II-Umweltdeklaration mit Basisdaten und qualitativen Angaben zum Öko-design, wie in EN ISO 14021 festgelegt; – die Vollversion, eine Typ III-Umweltdeklaration, wie in EN ISO 14025 festgelegt, einschließlich quantitativ bewerteter möglicher Umweltauswirkungen. Hierfür wurden Produktkategorie-Regeln (en: Product Category Rules – PCR) für Motorsystemkomponenten aufgenommen, um eine harmonisierte Methodik für die Erstellung von Ökobilanzen sicherzustellen. Dieser Teil von EN 50598 ist mit den anwendbaren generischen und horizontalen Umweltnormen harmonisiert und enthält zusätzliche Einzelheiten, die für die oben genannten Produkte maßgeblich sind. Dieser Teil von EN 50598 gilt für die Komponenten eines Motorsystems nach der Definition in EN 50XXX 1.

La présente partie de la norme qui porte la référence EN 5xxxx pour l'écoconception spécifie le processus et les exigences liés à la mise en œuvre de principes de conception des produits tenant compte de l'environnement, à l'évaluation des performances en termes d'écoconception et à la communication des impacts environnementaux potentiels pour les entraînements électriques de puissance (PDS), les démarreurs de moteur et l'électronique de puissance (par exemple modules d'entraînement complet, CDM) qu'on utilise dans les applications entraînées par moteur (charges entraînées par moteur) pour basse tension (inférieure à 1 000 V) et la plage allant de 0,12 kW à 1 000 kW, et ce pendant l'intégralité du cycle de vie. Elle définit le contenu de deux types différents de déclaration environnementale: - la version de base, une déclaration environnementale de type II, avec des données de base et des énoncés qualitatifs sur l'écoconception, telle que définie dans l’EN ISO 14021 - la version complète, une déclaration environnementale de type III, avec les impacts environnementaux potentiels évalués quantitativement, telle que définie dans l’EN ISO 14025. Pour cela, les règles relatives aux catégories de produits [PCR] pour les composants des systèmes de moteur sont incluses afin d'assurer l'harmonisation de la méthodologie d'analyse du cycle de vie. La présente norme est harmonisée avec les normes environnementales génériques et horizontales applicables et contient les détails supplémentaires qui sont pertinents pour les produits susmentionnés. La présente norme s'applique aux composants d'un système de moteur tel que défini dans l’EN 50XXX-1.

Ta del standarda EN 50598 določa postopke in zahteve za vpeljavo okoljsko ozaveščenih principov projektiranja izdelkov, za vrednotenje zmogljivosti okoljsko primernih zasnov in za poročanje o možnih vplivih na okolje motorno gnanih sistemov, motornih zaganjalnikov in močnostne elektronike (npr. celoviti pogonski moduli, CMD), ki se uporabljajo v motorno gnanih aplikacijah (motorskih pogonih) nizke napetosti (manj od 1000 V) in v razponu moči od 0,12 kW do 1000 kW, med celotnim življenjskim ciklom.
Opredeljuje vsebino za dva različna tipa okoljske deklaracije:
– osnovno različico, okoljsko deklaracijo tipa II z osnovnimi podatki in kvalitativnimi izjavami glede okoljsko primernih zasnov, kot so določene v standardu EN ISO 14021
– polno različico, okoljsko deklaracijo tipa III, kot je določena v standardu EN ISO 14025, vključno s kvalitativno overdnotenimi možnimi vplivi na okolje. Tako so pravila za kategorije proizvodov [PCR] za komponente motornih sistemov vključena za zagotavljanje usklajene metodologije za ocenjevanje življenjskega cikla.
