The standard harmonizes presentation, sectioning and special indications (e.g., interchangeable ground joints, thin walls, sintered filters) so drawings are consistent, unambiguous and suitable for manufacturing, inspection and procurement across CEN/ISO member bodies.

This document (EN ISO 6414:2020) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 10 "Technical
product documentation" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/SS F01 “Technical drawings”
the secretariat of which is held by CCMC.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2020, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by July 2020.
