ISO 17769-2:2012 specifies terms, letter symbols and units related to the flow of liquids through rotodynamic and positive displacement liquid pumps and associated installations. It serves as a means of clarifying communications between the installation designer, manufacturer, operator and plant constructor.
ISO 17769-2:2012 identifies the units in common usage, but all additional legal units can be used.
ISO 17769-2:2012 deals mainly with pumping systems.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Begriffe, Formelzeichen und Einheiten im Hinblick auf die Förderung von
Flüssigkeiten durch Kreisel- und Verdrängerpumpen und zugehörige Installationen fest. Sie dient der
Kommunikation zwischen Anlagenplaner, Hersteller, Betreiber und Anlagenbauer.
Teil 1 behandelt Flüssigkeitspumpen
Teil 2 behandelt Pumpsysteme
Die Norm zeigt die allgemein gebräuchlichen Einheiten, jedoch können alle weiteren gesetzlichen Einheiten
verwendet werden.
Der vorliegende Teil 2 behandelt vornehmlich Pumpsysteme. Zur besseren Handhabbarkeit werden einige
Definitionen aus Teil 1 wiederholt.
Die Definitionen sind so festgelegt, dass sie zunächst die meist gebräuchlichen Arten einer Größe gefolgt von
einigen häufig verwendeten Formen aufzeigen. Andere Formen können gebildet werden und entsprechende
Formelzeichen können durch Verwendung der gezeigten Zeichen und Indizes entwickelt werden.
Vorangestellte Wörter, wie z. B. Betrieb..., Konstruktion..., können ebenfalls für die definierten Größen
angewendet werden.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Begriffe, Formelzeichen und Einheiten, die sich auf Bauteile von Kreisel- und
Verdrängerpumpen und Installationen beziehen.
Wo immer möglich, stimmen die Zeichen und Definitionen mit denen in ISO 80000-1 überein, mit weiteren
Erklärungen, wo diese angemessen erscheinen. Einige Abweichungen wurden aus Gründen der
Folgerichtigkeit eingearbeitet.

L'ISO 17769-2:2012 spécifie les termes, les symboles littéraux et les unités relatifs au débit de liquides dans les pompes rotodynamiques et volumétriques pour liquides et dans les installations associées. Son but est de faciliter la communication entre les concepteurs des installations, les fabricants, les utilisateurs et les constructeurs.
L'ISO 17769-2:2012 identifie les unités d'usage courant, mais toutes les autres unités légales peuvent cependant être utilisées.
L'ISO 17769-2:2012 traite principalement des systèmes de pompage.

Ta del standarda ISO 17769 določa izraze, črkovne simbole in enote, ki se nanašajo na tok tekočin skozi rotodinamične črpalke in črpalke s prisilnim pretokom za natančno odvzemanje vzorcev ter podobne inštalacije. Namenjen je razjasnitvi komunikacije med načrtovanjem inštalacije, proizvajalcem, upravljavcem in izvajalcem obrata. Ta del standarda ISO 17769 določa enote v splošni uporabi, vendar se lahko uporabijo dodatne predpisane enote. Ta del standarda ISO 17769 obravnava predvsem črpalne sisteme. OPOMBA 1: zaradi lažje uporabe se ponovijo nekatere definicije, ki so na voljo že v standardu ISO 17769-1. Ta del standarda ISO 17769 ne določa izrazov, črkovnih simbolov in enot, ki se nanašajo na sestavne dele rotodinamičnih črpalk in črpalk s prisilnim pretokom za natančno odvzemanje vzorcev ter njihovih namestitev. This document (EN ISO 17769-2:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 115 "Pumps" in
collaboration with by Technical Committee CEN/TC 197 “Pumps” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2013, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by January 2013.
