This document specifies requirements for the drafting and presentation of European machinery safety standards and standards for safety components, primarily to achieve consistency and acceptable quality, throughout the programme, of the various standards to be prepared (also to meet the requirements of the Mandate from the European Commission). It also gives requirements on the criteria for the selection of new work items and for procedures to prepare and produce standards in an efficient and effective way.

Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen für die Abfassung und Gestaltung von Europäischen Sicherheitsnormen für Maschinen und Sicherheitsbauteile fest, in erster Linie um innerhalb des Arbeitsprogrammes die Übereinstimmung und eine annehmbare Qualität der verschiedenen Normen, die erarbeitet werden, zu erreichen (und auch, um die Anforderungen des Mandates der Europäischen Kommission zu erfüllen). Es werden auch Anforderungen bezüglich der Kriterien für die Auswahl von neuen Arbeitsthemen sowie für die Durchführung der Arbeiten angeboten, die eine schnelle und wirksame Vorbereitung und Erarbeitung von Normen ermöglichen.

Le présent document précise les prescriptions pour la préparation et la présentation des normes de sécurité européennes, relatives aux machines, et des normes relatives aux composants de sécurité, principalement pour améliorer la cohésion et une qualité acceptable des diverses normes à préparer (également pour satisfaire les prescriptions du mandat de la Commission Européenne). Des prescriptions sont également données sur les critères de sélection des travaux nouveaux et sur les procédures de préparation et d'élaboration des normes de manière efficace et productive.
