Ta del standarda IEC 62196 se uporablja za vtiče, vtičnice, konektorje, uvodnice in kabelske sestave na električnih vozilih (EV) (v nadaljnjem besedilu: »priključki«), namenjene za uporabo v sistemih za kabelsko napajanje, ki vključujejo krmilno sredstvo z nazivno obratovalno napetostjo največ – 690 V izmenične napetosti, 50–60 Hz pri nazivnem toku manj kot 250 A – 1500 V enosmerne napetosti pri nazivnem toku manj kot 400 A. Ti priključki in kabelski sestavi so namenjeni za uporabo v tokokrogih, določenih v standardu IEC 61851-1:2010, ki delujejo pri različnih napetostih in frekvencah in lahko vključujejo malo napetost (ELV) in komunikacijske signale. Priključki, ki jih zajema ta standard, so namenjeni za uporabo na vozilih, ki izpolnjujejo zahteve iz točke 7.2.3.1 standarda IEC 61851-1:2010. Ti priključki in kabelski sestavi so namenjeni za uporabo pri temperaturi okolja, in sicer med –30 °C in +50 °C.

This amendment A11 modifies the European Standard EN 62196-1:2012; it was approved by CENELEC on
2012-10-15. CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which
stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the status of a national standard without any alteration.
Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on
application to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre or to any CENELEC member.
This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language
made by translation under the responsibility of a CENELEC member into its own language and notified to the
CEN-CENELEC Management Centre has the same status as the official versions.
