 Part 1: Caravans;  Part 2: Motor caravans (the present document). This document is one of a series covering the habitation aspects of leisure accommodation vehicles. Requirements for 12 V direct current extra low voltage electrical installations for caravans are specified in EN 1648-1. According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organisations of the following coun-tries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

In this case, it is permissible to use only the base vehicle battery.
