This part of EN 13523 describes the procedure for determining the resistance to cracking and/or pick off on rapid deformation of an organic coating on a metallic substrate in terms of energy which the specimen will withstand. The thickness of the coating to be tested shall be 60 micronmillimeters at maximum. The test procedures is not recommended for coatings of thickness greater then 60 micronmillimeters due to lack of meaningful results.

Dieser Teil von EN 13523 beschreibt das Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Widerstandsfähigkeit einer organischen Beschichtung auf einem metallischen Substrat gegen Rißbildung und/oder Ablösen bei schneller Verformung. Als Maß dient die Energie, der die Beschichtung standhält. Die Dicke der zu prüfenden Beschichtung darf höchstens 600 um betragen. Für Beschichtungen mit einer größeren Dicke als 60 um wird das Prüfverfahren nicht empfohlen, weil keine aussagefähigen Ergebnisse erhalten werden.

La présente partie de l'EN 13523 décrit comment déterminer la résistance à la fissuration et/ou à l'arrachement en cas de déformation rapide d'une peinture organique sur un support métallique, en termes d'énergie à laquelle l'éprouvette va résister. l'épaisseur de la peinture à essayer ne doit pas être supérieure à 60 micronmillimeters. Ce mode opératoire d'essai n'est pas recommandé pour les peinture dont l'épaisseur est supérieure à 60 micronmillimeter, car les résultats sont alors peu significatifs.
