Liquid pumps - Safety requirements - Agrifoodstuffs equipment; Design rules to ensure hygiene in use
This European Standard deals with the special technical safety requirements for liquid pumps and pump units operating with agrifood-stuff. This European Standard is intended to be used with EN 809 to give the additional requirements for hazards arising from the pumping of substances intended for human and domestic animal consumption (see Clause 4).
This European Standard also establishes requirements and/or measures for the reduction of risks during use, including misuse foreseeable by the manufacturer.
This European Standard is not intended to be used for pumps and pump units at any stage in the public water supply, nor for pumps handling pharmaceutical products, nor for any other application for which more appropriate standards exist.
The pumps and pump units covered by this European Standard are the following:
- rotodynamic pumps;
- rotary positive displacement pumps;
- reciprocating positive displacement pumps.
Pumps dealing with agrifood-stuff which are not indicated in this scope are potentially covered by
EN 1672-2:2005+A1:2009.
This document is not applicable to liquid pumps for agrifoodstuff applications which are manufactured before the date of its publication as an EN.

Diese Europäische Norm behandelt spezielle technische Sicherheitsanforderungen an Flüssigkeitspumpen und Pumpen¬aggregate, die Lebensmittel fördern. Diese Europäische Norm ist vorgesehen, gemeinsam mit der EN 809 angewendet zu werden und liefert die zusätzlichen Anforderungen im Hinblick auf Gefährdungen, die auftreten können, wenn Pumpen und Pumpenaggregate für Substanzen angewendet werden, die für den Verbrauch durch Menschen und Haustiere vorgesehen sind (siehe Abschnitt 4).
Diese Europäische Norm legt auch Anforderungen und/oder Maßnahmen fest, die zur Verminderung der Risiken im Gebrauch, einschließlich des vorhersehbaren Missbrauchs führen.
Diese Europäische Norm ist weder geeignet für die Anwendung von Pumpen und Pumpenaggregaten in allen Stufen der öffentlichen Wasserversorgung noch für Pumpen zur Förderung pharmazeutischer Produkte oder für andere Anwendungen, für die möglicherweise besser geeignete Normen existieren.
In den Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm fallen folgende Pumpen und Pumpenaggregate:
Kreiselpumpen;
rotierende Verdrängerpumpen;
oszillierende Verdrängerpumpen.
Pumpen für die Förderung von Lebensmitteln, die nicht in den Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm fallen, sollten EN 1672 2:2005+A1:2009 entsprechen.
Dieses Dokument ist nicht auf Flüssigkeitspumpen anwendbar, die vor der Veröffentlichung als Europäische Norm hergestellt wurden.

La présente Norme européenne traite des prescriptions techniques spéciales de sécurité applicables aux
pompes et groupes motopompes pour liquides utilisés pour des produits agroalimentaires. La présente Norme
européenne est prévue pour être utilisée avec l’EN 809 afin de donner des exigences supplémentaires
concernant les phénomènes dangereux provenant du pompage de substances destinées à la consommation
humaine ou pour des animaux domestiques (voir Article 4).
La présente Norme européenne établit aussi des exigences et/ou des mesures qui conduisent à une
réduction des risques pendant la mise en oeuvre, ainsi que les mauvais usages prévus par le fabricant.
La présente Norme européenne n’est pas destinée à être utilisée pour des pompes et groupes motopompes
pour l’approvisionnement public en eau, à quelque stade que ce soit, ni pour les pompes véhiculant des
produits pharmaceutiques, ni pour toute autre application pour laquelle des normes plus appropriées existent.
Les pompes et groupes motopompes qui sont couverts par la présente Norme européenne sont les suivants :
- les pompes rotodynamiques ;
- les pompes volumétriques rotatives ;
- les pompes volumétriques alternatives.
Il convient que les pompes de produits agroalimentaires qui ne sont pas indiquées dans ce domaine
d’application soient potentiellement couvertes par l’EN 1672-2:2005+A1:2009.
Le présent document n’est pas applicable aux pompes pour liquides des applications agro-alimentaires qui
ont été fabriquées avant la date de publication de cette norme EN.

Ta evropski standard obravnava posebne tehnične varnostne zahteve za črpalke za tekočine in črpalne enote, ki se uporabljajo v kmetijsko-živilskem sektorju. Ta evropski standard se uporablja skupaj s standardom EN 809, pri čemer določa dodatne zahteve za nevarnosti v zvezi s črpanjem snovi, namenjenih za prehrano ljudi in domačih živali (glej točko 4). Ta evropski standard določa tudi zahteve in/ali merila za zmanjšanje tveganj med uporabo, vključno z nepravilno uporabo, ki jo predvidi proizvajalec.
