General technical delivery requirements for steel and iron products

This European Standard specifies the general technical delivery requirements for  all steel products covered by EN 10079 with the exception of steel castings and powder metallurgical products (see annex A). En 10204 describes the inspection documents to be used. Where the delivery requirements agreed for the order or specified in the appropriate product or material standard differ from the general technical delivery requirements defined in this standard, then it is the requirements agreed for the order or specified in the appropriate product or material standard which shall apply.

Allgemeine technische Lieferbedingungen für Stahl und Stahlerzeugnisse

Diese Europäische Norm beinhaltet die allgemeinen technischen Lieferbedingungen für alle in EN 10079 erfassten Stahlerzeugnisse; ausgenommen sind jedoch Stahlguss und pulvermetallurgische Erzeugnisse. EN 10204 beschreibt die in Betracht kommenden Bescheinigungen über Materialprüfungen.

Aciers et produits sidérurgiques - Conditions générales techniques de livraison

La présente norme européenne prescrit les conditions générales techniques de livraison applicables a tous les produits sidérurgiques définis par l'EN 10079, a l'exception des pieces moulées en acier et des produits de la métallurgie des poudres. L'EN 10204 décrit les documents de contrôle a utiliser.

This European Standard specifies through thickness properties and associated test methods for flat products and sections of steel.
This document may be applied as a supplement to all product standards for flat products and sections of fully killed steels, except stainless steels. It covers products having a thickness between 15 mm and 400 mm inclusive of steels with a specified minimum upper yield strength ReH or proof strength Rp0,2 ≤ 960 MPa ) for which improved through thickness properties are required.
The application of this document to other steel types shall be the subject of agreement at the time of the order.
The application of this document to products with thickness between 10 mm ≤ t <15 mm shall be the subject of agreement at the time of the order. See option 1.
The application of this document to products with thickness t > 400 mm shall be the subject of agreement at the time of the order. See option 3.

This European Standard specifies the technical delivery requirements for bright steel bars in the drawn or peeled/turned condition and they are intended for mechanical purposes, for example for machine parts. The bright bars are subdivided into the following steel types:
a)   non-alloy general engineering steels;
b)   non-alloy free-cutting steels;
c)   non-alloy and alloy case-hardening steels;
d)   non-alloy and alloy steels for quenching and tempering.
Bright steel products of stainless steels are to be found in EN 10088-3.
In addition to this standard, the general technical delivery requirements of EN 10021 are applicable.
