· pour usage intérieur en milieu sec ) en tant que composants structurels ;
· pour usage intérieur en milieu humide ) (ou en extérieur protégé) en tant que composants structurels ;
· pour usage extérieur ) en tant que composants structurels ;
· pour un usage intérieur en milieu sec1) en tant que composants non structurels ;
· pour usage intérieur en milieu humide2) (ou en extérieur protégé) en tant que composants non structurels ;
· pour usage extérieur3) en tant que composants non structurels ;
· pour usage intérieur en milieu sec1) ou humide2) en tant que platelage de plancher structurel sur solives ;
· pour usage intérieur en milieu sec1)  ou humide2)  en tant que platelage de toiture structurel sur poutres ;

Its full title is "Wood-based panels for use in construction - Characteristics, evaluation of conformity and marking". This standard covers: This European Standard defines wood-based panels and specifies the relevant characteristics and the appropriate test methods to determine these characteristics. It provides provisions for the evaluation of conformity and the requirement for marking these products.

This European Standard defines wood-based panels and specifies the relevant characteristics and the appropriate test methods to determine these characteristics. It provides provisions for the evaluation of conformity and the requirement for marking these products.

EN 13986:2002 is classified under the following ICS (International Classification for Standards) categories: 01.040.79 - Wood technology (Vocabularies); 01.040.91 - Construction materials and building (Vocabularies); 79.060.01 - Wood-based panels in general; 91.080.20 - Timber structures. The ICS classification helps identify the subject area and facilitates finding related standards.

EN 13986:2002 has the following relationships with other standards: It is inter standard links to EN 13986:2004, EN 622-2:2004. Understanding these relationships helps ensure you are using the most current and applicable version of the standard.

EN 13986:2002 is associated with the following European legislation: EU Directives/Regulations: 305/2011, 89/106/EEC; Standardization Mandates: M/113. When a standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, products manufactured in conformity with it benefit from a presumption of conformity with the essential requirements of the corresponding EU directive or regulation.
