Geosynthetic barriers - Characteristics required for use in transportation infrastructure
This European Standard specifies the characteristics of geosynthetic barriers including polymeric geosynthetic barriers, clay geosynthetic barriers and bituminous geosynthetic barriers, used as fluid barriers and separation layer in infrastructure works, e.g. roads, railroads, runways of airports, and the appropriate test methods to determine these characteristics.
Tunnels and associated underground structures are addressed in EN 13491.
The intended use of these products is to control the pathway of fluid through the construction and to limit any contamination, e.g. by de-icing products, of groundwater or water sources.
This European Standard is not applicable to geotextiles or geotextile-related products, as defined in EN ISO 10318-1.
This document provides for the assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP) of the product to this European Standard including factory production control procedures.
This European Standard defines characteristics to be considered with regard to the presentation of performance.
This European Standard does not cover applications where the geosynthetic barrier will be in contact with water that has been treated for human consumption.
NOTE Where potable water is or can be in direct contact with the product, other relevant standards, requirements and/or regulations can be considered for the design.
Geosynthetische Dichtungsbahnen - Eigenschaften, die für die Anwendung in Verkehrsbauten erforderlich sind
Diese Europäische Norm legt die relevanten Eigenschaften von geosynthetischen Dichtungsbahnen (geosynthetische Kunststoff-, Ton- und Bitumendichtungsbahnen), die als Abdichtung gegen Flüssigkeit bei Verkehrsbauten, z. B. Straßen, Schienenwege, Landebahnen, verwendet werden, und die geeigneten Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung dieser Eigenschaften fest. Tunnel und verbundene Tiefbauwerke werden in EN 13491 behandelt.
Die bestimmungsgemäße Anwendung dieser Produkte ist die Kontrolle des Weges der Flüssigkeiten durch das Bauwerk und die Begrenzung jeglicher Kontamination, z. B. durch auftauende Produkte, von Grundwasser und Wasserquellen.
Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar auf Geotextilien oder geotextilverwandte Produkte im Sinne der Definition von EN ISO 10318-1.
Dieses Dokument behandelt die Bewertung und Überprüfung der Leistungsbeständigkeit des Produkts nach dieser Europäischen Norm und Verfahren für die werkseigene Produktionskontrolle.
Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen fest, die von den Herstellern und ihren autorisierten Vertretern in Bezug auf die Darstellung der Produkteigenschaften eingehalten werden müssen.
Dieses Dokument umfasst nicht die Anwendungen, bei denen die geosynthetische Dichtungsbahn in Kontakt mit Trinkwasser kommt, das für den unmittelbaren menschlichen Gebrauch behandelt wurde.

Géomembranes et géosynthétiques bentonitiques - Caractéristiques requises pour l'utilisation dans les infrastructures de transport
Cette Norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques applicables aux géosynthétiques d'étanchéité incluant les géomembranes polymériques, les géosynthétiques bentonitiques et les géomembranes bitumineuses utilisés comme barrière aux fluides dans les travaux d'infrastructures, par exemple les chaussées, voies ferrées et pistes aéroportuaires, ainsi que les méthodes d'essai appropriées pour déterminer ces caractéristiques.
Les tunnels et ouvrages souterrains sont couverts par l'EN 13491.
Ces produits sont destinés à contrôler le passage de liquides à travers la construction et limiter toute contamination, par des produits de dégivrage par exemple, des nappes phréatiques ou des ressources en eau.
Cette Norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux géotextiles ou produits apparentés, tels que définis dans l'EN ISO 10318 1.
Cette Norme européenne permet d'évaluer et de vérifier la constance des performances du produit à la présente Norme européenne et les procédures de contrôle de la production en usine.

Ta evropski standard določa ustrezne lastnosti geosintetičnih ovir (polimernih, opečnatih in bitumenskih geosintetičnih ovir), ki se uporabljajo za zaščito pred tekočinami v infrastrukturi, npr. na cestah, železniških progah, pristajalnih stezah letališč, in ustrezne preskusne metode za določanje teh lastnosti. Predore in podzemne gradnje obravnava EN 13491. Ti proizvodi so namenjeni nadzoru poti tekočin skozi konstrukcijo in omejitvi kakršnega koli onesnaženja podtalnice ali vodnih virov, npr. z odmrznitvijo izdelkov. Ta evropski standard se uporablja za geosintetične ovire, vendar ne za geotekstilije ali sorodne izdelke, kot je določeno v EN ISO 10318. Ta evropski standard omogoča vrednotenje skladnosti proizvoda s tem evropskim standardom.
