Agricultural machinery — Thrown-object test and acceptance criteria — Part 2: Flail mowers
ISO 17101-2:2012 gives specifications and acceptance criteria for the thrown-object testing of flail mowers used in agriculture. Examples of machines are shown. It is not applicable to the following: large rotary mowers; rotary mowers; mowers with an articulated arm; mowers with one or more vertical axis designed for mulching; pedestrian controlled motor mowers; lawn mowers or machines designed as lawn mowers; inter-row mowing units; machines designed for highway and road maintenance only; flail mowers that have the rear part which can be opened for particular field use operations (e.g. row-crop mowers).

L'ISO 17101-2:2012 donne des spécifications et des critères d'acceptation pour les essais de projection d'objets applicable aux faucheuses-broyeuses utilisées dans l'agriculture. Des exemples de machines sont donnés dans l'Annexe A. Elle n'est pas applicable aux: faucheuses rotatives de grandes dimensions; faucheuses rotatives; faucheuses à bras articulé; faucheuses avec un ou plusieurs axes verticaux, conçues pour broyer; motofaucheuses à conducteur à pied; tondeuses ou machines conçues comme des tondeuses; faucheuses interlignes; machines conçues seulement pour l'entretien des routes et des autoroutes; faucheuses-broyeuses dont la partie arrière peut être ouverte pour des opérations particulières sur le terrain (par exemple faucheuses pour cultures en lignes).

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International
Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2.
The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards
adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an
International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote.

L’ISO (Organisation internationale de normalisation) est une fédération mondiale d’organismes nationaux de
normalisation (comités membres de l’ISO). L’élaboration des Normes internationales est en général confiée aux
