A related standard (EN 12373-7) describes the same method used with prior acid treatment.

Dieser Teil dieser Europäischen Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Prüfung der Qualität verdichteter, anodisch erzeugter Oxidschichten auf Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen fest, indem der Massenverlust nach Eintauchen in eine Chromphosphorsäure-Lösung ohne vorherige Säurebehandlung gemessen wird. Eine weitere Norm (EN 12373-7) beschreibt das gleiche Verfahren mit vorheriger Säurebehandlung.
