This part of EN 1559 applies to castings made from all cast iron materials produced in sand or permanent moulds or by centrifugal casting or investment casting. This part specifies the additional technical delivery conditions for castings made from all cast iron materials. This part does not apply to iron products which are the subjects of separate European product standards e.g. iron pipes, fittings and accessories for water pipelines which are subjects of EN 545 and EN 598, prEN 877-1, prEN 877-2, and EN 969.

Dieser Teil von prEN 1559 gilt für Gußstücke aus allen Gußeisenwerkstoffen,die in Sandformen oder Kokillen oder nach dem Schleudergieß-, Stranggieß- oder Feingießverfahren hergestellt werden. Dieser Teil legt die zusätzlichen Technischen Lieferbedingungen für Gußstücke aus allen Gußeisenwerkstoffen fest. Dieser Teil gilt nicht für Produkte aus Eisen, die Gegenstand separater Europäischer Produktnormen sind, z.B. Rohre, Formstücke und Zuberhörteile aus Eisen für Wasserleitungen, die in EN 545 und EN 598, prEN 877-1, prEN 877-2 und EN 969 behandelt werden.

La présente partie du prEN 1559 s'applique aux pièces moulées de tous les matériaux en fonte coulées dans des moules en sable ou en métal ou par centrifugation, coulée continue ou moulage à la cire perdue. La présente partie donne les conditions techniques complémentaires de fourniture pour les pièces moulées de tous les matériaux en fonte. La présente partie ne s'applique pas aux produits en fonte faisant l'objet d'une norme européenne de produit séparée,comme par exemple, les tuyaux, les raccords et accessoires des canalisations d'eau en fonte ductile qui sont traités dans l'EN 545 et dans l'EN 598.
