This European Standard applies to manholes on tank wagons used for the transport of dangerous substances. Safety functions of these devices are subject to RID requirements and not described in this document.
This European Standard specifies the dimensions for the interchangeability of seals and other wearing parts and defines also the important dimensions for:
- manholes for gas tank wagons located in one end of the tank;
- manholes for gas tank wagons located on the top of the tank including the arrangement of fittings;
- bolted manholes for tank wagons for liquid substances located on the top of the tank;
- swing bolt manholes for tank wagons for liquid substances located on the top of the tank.
Quick closing/opening manholes are permitted but are not covered by this European Standard.
This European Standard applies to new tank wagons built after the 1st January 2010.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Abmessungen für die Tauschbarkeit von Dichtungen und anderen Verschleißteilen sowie Hauptmaße und Anordnung für:
- Mannlöcher für Druckgaskesselwagen, im Tankboden angeordnet;
- Mannlöcher für Druckgaskesselwagen, auf dem Tankscheitel angeordnet, einschließlich der Anordnung der Armaturen;
- geschraubte Mannlochdeckel für Kesselwagen für flüssige Stoffe, auf dem Tankscheitel angeordnet;
- Klappdome für Kesselwagen für flüssige Stoffe, auf dem Tankscheitel angeordnet
fest.
Schnell schließende/öffnende Mannlöcher sind zulässig, werden aber in dieser Europäischen Norm nicht behandelt.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für neue Kesselwagen, die nach dem 1. Januar 2010 gebaut werden.

La présente Norme européenne s’applique aux trous d’homme sur les wagons citernes utilisés pour le transport de matières dangereuses. Les fonctions de sécurité de ces dispositifs sont soumises aux exigences du RID et ne sont pas décrites dans le présent document.
La présente Norme européenne définit les dimensions pour l’interchangeabilité des joints et autres pièces susceptibles d’usure et définit également les dimensions essentielles pour :
- les trous d’homme présents sur les wagons gaz et situés sur l’un des fonds de la citerne ;
- les trous d’homme présents sur les wagons gaz et situés sur le dessus de la citerne, y compris la disposition des équipements ;
- les trous d’homme boulonnés sur les wagons de transport de matières liquides situés sur le dessus de la citerne ;
- les trous d’homme à boulons basculants sur les wagons de transport de matières liquides situés sur le dessus de la citerne.
Les trous d’homme à ouverture/fermeture rapide sont autorisés, mais ne sont pas traités dans la présente Norme européenne.
La présente Norme européenne s’applique aux nouveaux wagons citernes fabriqués après le 1er janvier 2010.

Ta evropski standard velja za vstopne odprtine na vagonih-cisternah, ki se uporabljajo za prevoz nevarnih snovi. Za varnostne funkcije naprav veljajo zahteve RID in niso opisane v tem dokumentu. Ta evropski standard določa mere za zamenljivost tesnil in drugih potrošnih delov ter opredeljuje pomembne mere za: vstopne odprtine za cisterne-vagone za pline, ki so na enem koncu cisterne; vstopne odprtine za cisterne-vagone za pline, ki so na vrhu cisterne, vključno z razvrstitvijo fitingov; privijačene vstopne odprtine za vagone-cisterne za tekoče snovi, ki so na vrhu cisterne; z očesnim vijakom privijačene vstopne odprtine za cisterne-vagone za tekoče snovi, ki so na vrhu cisterne.
