Aerospace series - Contact Memory Button (CMB) tags intended for aircraft use
The scope of this European Standard is to:
• Provide a requirements document for CMB Manufacturers to produce systems for the Aerospace and Defence industry.
• Identify the minimum performance requirements specific to CMB used on Aerospace and Defence vehicle parts accessed only during ground operations.
• Identify existing standards applicable to CMB.
• Provide a qualification standard for CMB which will use permanently-affixed installation on systems.
• Provide some patterns of data.
In addition to any relevant document from certification authorities, the following documents should be taken into account to define requirements concerning the technical specifications for CMB:
• EUROCAE documents: ED-14, Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment.
• RTCA documents: DO-160, Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment.
• Military Standard: MIL-STD-810, Department of Defense Test Method Standard for Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests.

Der Anwendungsbereich dieser Europäischen Norm ist:
- Bereitstellung einer Anforderungsbeschreibung für Hersteller von CMBs (Kontakt-Speicherbuttons) für die Luft-, Raumfahrt-, und Verteidigungsindustrie.
- Benennung von Mindestleistungsanforderungen für speziell in der Luft- und Raumfahrt sowie in Militär-fahrzeugen verwendete CMB, die nur im Bodenbetrieb angesprochen werden.
- Benennung bestehender Normen, die auf CMB anwendbar sind.
- Aufstellung einer Qualifikationsnorm für CMB, die dauerhaft an Systemen angebracht werden sollen.
- Bereitstellung einiger Datenmuster.
Zusätzlich zu allen relevanten Dokumenten von Zulassungsstellen sollten folgende Dokumente in die Definition von Anforderungen für technische Lieferbedingungen von CMB einbezogen werden:
- EUROCAE-Dokumente: ED-14, Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment.
- RTCA-Dokumente: DO-160, Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment.
- Militär-Norm: MIL-STD-810, Department of Defense Test Method Standard for Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests.

Namen tega evropskega standarda je: – proizvajalcem kontaktnih gumbnih pomnilnikov (CMB) zagotoviti dokument z zahtevami za izdelavo sistemov za aeronavtični in obrambni sektor; – določiti minimalne zahteve glede zmogljivosti, specifične za kontaktne gumbne pomnilnike, ki se uporabljajo na delih vozil v aeronavtičnem in obrambnem sektorju, do katerih se dostopa le pri dejavnostih na tleh; – opredeliti obstoječe standarde, ki se lahko uporabljajo za kontaktne gumbne pomnilnike; – določiti kvalifikacijski standard za kontaktne gumbne pomnilnike, v zvezi s katerimi se bo na sistemih uporabljala stalna namestitev; – zagotoviti nekatere vzorce podatkov. Poleg vsakega pomembnega dokumenta certifikacijskih organov naj bi se pri določitvi zahtev glede tehničnih specifikacij za kontaktne gumbne pomnilnike upoštevali naslednji dokumenti: – dokumenti EUROCAE: ED-14, Okoljski pogoji in preskusni postopki za opremo na letalu; – dokumenti RTCA: DO-160, Okoljski pogoji in preskusni postopki za opremo na letalu; – vojaški standard: MIL-STD-810, Standard preskusne metode ministrstva za obrambo v zvezi s premisleki glede okoljskega inženiringa in laboratorijskimi preskusi.

This document (EN 4819:2012) has been prepared by the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of
Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN).
After enquiries and votes carried out in accordance with the rules of this Association, this Standard has
received the approval of the National Associations and the Official Services of the member countries of ASD,
prior to its presentation to CEN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2012, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by November 2012.

1 Scope
