Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt die Anforderungen und gibt Empfehlungen für Planung, Installation, Änderung, Prüfung, Instandhaltung und Betrieb von Trinkwasser-Installationen innerhalb von Gebäuden und für bestimmte Anwendungen außerhalb von Gebäuden, aber innerhalb von Grundstücken (siehe Bild 1). Es umfaßt die Rohre, Anschlußstücke und angeschlossenen Geräte, diezur Versorgung mit Trinkwasser verlegt werden. Nach dieser Norm beginnen Trinkwasser-Installationen an der Außenseite der Gebäude (Bild 1).
