members for enquiry.
Deadline for CENELEC: 2026-08-21.
It has been drawn up by CLC/TC 61.
If this draft becomes an amendment, CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which
stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the status of a national standard without any alteration.
This draft amendment was established by CENELEC in three official versions (English, French, German).
A version in any other language made by translation under the responsibility of a CENELEC member into its own language and notified to
the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre has the same status as the official versions.

110 experience and knowledge, when they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
111 appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
112 — This appliance may be used by children from the age 8 years if they are continuously supervised.
113 — Children and domestic animals should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
114 — Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter when appliance is left unattended.
115 — Keep the appliance out of reach of domestic animals and children aged less than 8 years.
116 — Check that there are no domestic animals inside the compartment/cavity of the appliance before use.
117 — Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children.
118 For other appliances, the instructions shall state the substance of the following:
119 — This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
120 lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
121 of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.”
