This part of this European standard specifies dimensional and minimum quality requirements (in respect of visual and pattern faults) for patterned glass as defined in EN 572 part 1, for use in building. This part of this standard applies only to patterned  glass supplied in rectangular panes and in stock sizes. This part of this standard does not apply to patterned glass in cut sizes for final end use.

In diesem Teil der europäischen Norm sind die Anforderungen an Masse und Mindestqualität (in bezug auf optische und sichtbare Fehler) für Ornamentglas für das Bauwesen, wie es in EN 572 Teil 1  definiert ist, festgelegt. Dieser Teil der Norm ist nur für Ornamentglas, das in rechtwinkligen Scheiben und in Standardabmessungen geliefert wird, anwendbar. Dieser Teil dieser Norm gilt nicht für Ornamentglas in Festmassen.
