This standard specifies test methods for determining: a) tensile and compressive strengths perpendicular to the grain of structural timber and glued laminated timber and b) tensile and compressive moduli of elasticity perpendicular to the grain of structural timber and glued laminated timber and c) shear strength parallel to the grain of structural timber and of the laminates used in glued laminated timber.

Diese Norm legt Prüfverfahren fest, in denen folgende Eigenschaften bestimmt werden: a) die Zug- und Druckfestigkeit rechtwinklig zur Faserrichtung von Bauholz für tragende Zwecke und von Brettschichtholz; b) die Elastizitätsmoduln bei Zug und Druck rechtwinklig zur Faserrichtung von Bauholz für tragende Zwecke und von Brettschichtholz und c) die Scherfestigkeit in Faserrichtung von Bauholz für tragende Zwecke und von Brettern, die in Brettschichtholz verwendet werden.
