This prestandard specifies a methodology for the determination of the leaching behaviour of a waste under specified conditions (i.e. for a specified scenario including a specified time frame) in order to provide a solution to a defined problem. This applies to disposal and utilization scenarios. The external conditions which have a direct influence on the release of constituents from a waste are considered.
