This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of the cold filter plugging point (CFPP) of diesel and domestic heating fuels (see 3.1) using either manual or automatic test equipment. The manual test equipment and automated test equipment are both suitable for referee purposes. This European Standard is applicable to distillate fuels, including those containing a flow- improving or other additive, intended for use in diesel engines and domestic heating installations.

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Temperaturgrenzwertes der Filtrierbarkeit (CFPP) von Dieselkraftstoffen und Haushaltheizölen (siehe 3.1) unter Verwendung von entweder manuellem oder automatischem Prüfgerät. Sowohl das manuelle Prüfgerät als auch das automatische Prüfgerät sind beide für Schiedsfälle geeignet. Diese Europäische Norm ist anwendbar auf Destillat-Brennstoffe, die für den Gebrauch in Dieselmotoren und Haushalt-Heizungsanlagen bestimmt sind, einschließlich solchen, die fließverbessernde oder andere Zusätze enthalten.

La présente norme europénne prescrit une méthode pour la détermination de la température limite de filtrabilité (TLF) des combustibles pour moteurs diesel et pour installations de chauffage domestique (voir 3.1), qui prévoit l'utilisation d'un appareillage d'essai soit manuel soit automatique. L'appareillage manuel et l'appareillage automatique conviennent tous deux pour les analyses d'arbitrage.
