(1) EN 1991-1-6 podaja načela in splošna pravila za določitev vplivov, ki jih je treba upoštevati med gradnjo stavb in gradbenih inženirskih objektov. OPOMBA 1: Ta del EN 1991 se lahko uporabi kot navodilo za določitev vplivov, ki se upoštevajo pri različnih vrstah gradbenih del, vključno s konstrukcijskimi spremembami, kot so obnova in/ali delno ali popolno rušenje. Nadaljnja pravila in navodila so dana v dodatkih A1, A2 in B. OPOMBA 2: Pravila v zvezi z varnostjo ljudi na gradbišču in v njegovi okolici niso del področja uporabe tega evropskega standarda. (3) EN 1991-1-6 podaja tudi pravila za določitev vplivov, ki so lahko uporabna za projektiranje pomožnih gradbenih konstrukcij, kot je določeno v 1.5, potrebna za gradnjo stavb in gradbenih inženirskih objektov. OPOMBA: Pravila za pomožne gradbene konstrukcije so lahko določena v nacionalnem dodatku ali za posamezen projekt. Navodila se lahko najdejo v ustreznih evropskih standardih. Na primer, pravila za opaže in odre so dana v EN 12812.
