EN-IEC 60335-2-71 deals with the safety of all kinds of electrical heating appliances used for livestock rearing and breeding, such as: heat-radiating appliances, electrical sittinghens, incubators, chicken breeding units and heating plates for animals, the rated voltage of the appliances being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances.

Deals with the safety of electric animal-stunning equipment, These are for inductrial or commercial use, on farms or in areas where they may be a source of danger to the public. The standard covers manual, semi-automatic and automatic equipment. For electric fence energizers, see EN 60335-2-76. For electric fishing machines, see EN 60335-2-86.

Velja tudi pri gradbenih in vzdrževalnih delih, ko je treba živico ali mrtvico za potrebe izvedbe
zasaditev odstraniti, skladiščiti, se po njej voziti, nasuti, izboljšati in na njej obnoviti vegetacijo.
Ne velja za rastni sloj trave za športne površine po DIN 18035-4.
