- For ARAL1 plates > 20 mm intended for welded structures, a stress‑corrosion test per Annex A is required.

- Ballistic acceptance testing is mandatory unless otherwise specified; references for ballistic methods appear in the standard’s bibliography or are to be agreed between purchaser and supplier.
- Surface, edges and defects
- Surface quality per EN 485‑1. Edges must be free from delamination harmful to welding; absence of lamination is checked up to 100 mm from edges.
- Dimensional tolerances
- Thickness tolerances are defined in Clause 6.2.1; width, length and flatness tolerances follow EN 485‑3 unless otherwise agreed.

- Requirements for sampling, inspection lots, tests (including ballistic testing), inspection certificates (EN 10204) and quality management (EN ISO 9001 recommended) are included.
