La présente norme européenne décrit une méthode de détermination de la perméabilité à la vapeur d'eau, en régime permanent, des éléments de maçonnerie en béton cellulaire autoclavé aux extrémités inférieure et supérieure de la plage hygroscopique. La méthode d'essai est limitée aux produits dans lesquels il est possible de découper des éprouvettes en forme de disque. Aucune exigence quant au conditionnement des éprouvettes n'est spécifiée. Toutefois, les conditions d'essai d'équilibre seront plus longues à atteindre si les éprouvettes n'ont pas été conditionnées à l'air approximativement sec au début de l'essai.
