Where a functional bonding conductor shall be identified by colour, the colour used shall be
PINK.
6.3.2 Protective conductor
Replace the first paragraph with the following:
Where a protective conductor shall be identified by colour, the bi-colour combination GREEN-
AND-YELLOW shall be used.
6.3.3 PEN conductor
Replace the first line of the first paragraph (i.e. the line introducing the list) with the following:
Where an insulated PEN conductor shall be identified by colour, the insulated PEN conductor
shall be identified by one of the following methods:
Insert after the second paragraph the following:
Where a bare PEN-conductor shall be identified by colour, each accessible point, terminations
and points of connection shall be marked with colour combination GREEN-AND-YELLOW and
with an additional BLUE colour marking.
6.3.4 PEL conductor
Replace the complete subclause with the following:
Where an insulated PEL conductor shall be identified by colour, the insulated PEL conductor
shall be provided with GREEN-AND-YELLOW insulation throughout its length and with
additional colour markings at its terminations and points of connection. The colour of the
additional colour marking shall be the colour used to indicate the function of the line conductor
combined into the PEL conductor, i.e. BLACK, BROWN or GREY in AC systems; RED or WHITE
in DC systems.
Where a bare PEL-conductor shall be identified by colour, each accessible point, terminations
and points of connection shall be marked with colour combination GREEN-AND-YELLOW and
with an additional colour marking with the colour used to indicate the function of the line
conductor combined into the PEL conductor, i.e. the colour BLACK, BROWN or GREY in AC
systems; RED or WHITE in DC systems.
The additional colour markings at the terminations and points of connection may be omitted
provided one of the following two conditions is met:
– in electrical equipment, if relevant requirements are included in specific product standards
or within a country;
– in the case of wiring systems, for example those used in industry, if decided by the relevant
committee.
6.3.5 PEM conductor
Replace the first paragraph with the following:
Where an insulated PEM conductor shall be identified by colour, the insulated PEM conductor
shall be provided with GREEN-AND-YELLOW insulation throughout its length and with BLUE
colour markings at its terminations and points of connection of the PEM conductor.
Where a bare PEM-conductor shall be identified by colour, each accessible point, terminations
and points of connection shall be marked with colour combination GREEN-AND-YELLOW and
with an additional BLUE colour marking.
6.3.6 Protective bonding conductor
Replace the first paragraph with the following:
Where a protective bonding conductor shall be identified by colour, the bi-colour combination
GREEN-AND-YELLOW shall be applied in accordance with 6.3.2.
