This Part of EN 45545 specifies the fire safety requirements for electrical equipment on railway vehicles, including that of trolley buses, track guided buses and magnetic levitation vehicles. The measures and requirements, specified in this European Standard meet the objective of protecting passengers and staff in railway vehicles in the event of a fire on board by: lowering the risk of starting a fire both during operation and as a result of technical defect and/or malfunction of the electrical equipment, ensuring that electrical emergency equipment continues to be functional until evacuation is complete (see FprEN 45545-6).

Dieser Teil von EN 45545 legt die Sicherheitsanforderungen an die elektrische Ausrüstung von Schienen-fahrzeugen einschließlich der von Oberleitungsbussen, spurgeführten Bussen und Magnetschwebefahr-zeugen fest. Die in dieser Europäischen Norm festgelegten Maßnahmen und Anforderungen haben zum Ziel, Fahrgäste und Personal in Schienenfahrzeugen im Brandfall an Bord zu schützen, indem: – die Gefahr des Ausbruches von Feuer während des Betriebes und als Ergebnis eines technischen Fehlers und/oder des Versagens der elektrischen Ausrüstung auf ein Mindestmaß reduziert wird; – sichergestellt wird, dass die elektrischen Notfallausrüstungen solange zur Verfügung stehen, bis die Eva¬kuierung abgeschlossen ist (siehe FprEN 45545 6).

La présente partie de l’EN 45545 spécifie les exigences de sécurité incendie pour l’équipement électrique des véhicules ferroviaires y compris celui des trolleybus, des autobus guidés et des véhicules à sustentation magnétique. Les mesures et les exigences spécifiées dans la présente Norme européenne ont pour objectif de protéger à la fois les voyageurs et le personnel dans les véhicules ferroviaires en cas d’incendie à bord: en réduisant les risques d’ignition à la fois lors de l’exploitation et comme résultant d’un défaut technique et/ou fonctionnel de l’équipement électrique; en assurant le fonctionnement des équipements électriques de sécurité jusqu’à l’évacuation complète des personnes (voir FprEN 45545-6).

Ta evropski standard določa zahteve požarne varnosti za električno opremo na železniških vozilih, vključno z opremo trolejbusov, tirno vodenih avtobusov in lebdečih vozil na magnetni blazini. Ukrepi in zahteve so namenjeni zaščiti potnikov in osebja na železniških vozilih v primeru požara, tako da preprečujejo nevarnost povzročitve požara in zagotavljajo delovanje elektronske opreme v sili, dokler evakuacija ni končana.
