1.1   Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Fließstrecke pulverförmiger, hitzehärtender Phenolharze für die Produktion und die Qualitätskontrolle fest. Bezüglich der Tablettenherstellung, der Prüftemperatur und des Neigungswinkels der Glasplatte unterliegt die Fließstreckenmessung willkürlich festgelegten Bedingungen.
1.2   Die Fließstrecke ist abhängig von der Reaktivität und der Schmelzviskosität der Harze. Rasches Vernetzen (Erstarren) und hohe Schmelzviskosität verkürzen die Fließstrecke.
