Mobile fire extinguishers
This European Standard specifies the characteristics, ratings and classification of mobile fire extinguishers and test method to be used. It applies to mobile fire extinguishers with a total mass above 20 kg and specified in clause 4 of this standard. This standard is limited to water base and powder extinguishers. It does not cover fire tests for class C fires, but powder extinguishers are effective on this type of fire. Class D fires are considered to be a very specialist application and are not included in this standard but may be made the object of national specification.
Fahrbare Feuerlöscher
In dieser Norm werden allgemeine Eigenschaften, Leistungsdaten und die Klassifizierung fahrbarer Feuerlöscher sowie anzuwendende Prüfverfahren festgelegt. Die Norm bezieht sich auf Feuerlöscher, die den Festlegungen des Abschnitts 4 dieser Norm entsprechen und eine Gesamtmasse von mehr als 20 kg haben. Diese Norm gilt nur für Feuerlöscher auf Wasserbasis und für Pulverfeuerlöscher.

La présente norme prescrit les caractéristiques, les performances et la classification des extincteurs d'incendie mobiles ainsi que la méthode d'essai à utiliser. Elle s'applique aux extincteurs mobiles d'une masse totale supérieure à 20 kg, spécifiés à l'article 4 de cette norme. Cette norme se limite aux extincteurs à base d'eau et à poudre.
