This standard specifies a test method for the determination of the resistance of geotextiles to abrasion using a sliding block. After abrasion the loss in tensile properties is determined. The method is applicable to woven and nonwoven geotextiles and geotextile-related products.

Nach der Scheuerbeanspruchung wird der Verlust der Zugfestigkeitseigenschaften bestimmt. Das Verfahren ist auf gewebte und nichtgewebte Geotextilien und geotextilverwandte Produkte anwendbar.

La présente norme établit une méthode d'essai qui permet de déterminer la résistance à l'abrasion des géotextiles à l'aide d'un bloc glissant. La perte des propriétés en traction après abrasion est déterminée. La méthode est applicable aux géotextiles tissés et nontissés et aux produits apparentés.
