Standard EN 1991 podaja splošna načela in postopke za projektiranje konstrukcij zgradb in gradbenih inženirskih objektov, vključno z nekaterimi geotehničnimi vidiki in mora biti uporabljen v skladu s standardoma EN 1990 in EN 1992-1999.
