Gas-fired central heating boilers - Part 2-2: Specific standard for type B1 appliances

This European Standard specifies, the requirements and test methods concerning, in particular the construction, safety, fitness for purpose, and rational use of energy, as well as the classification and marking of gas-fired central heating boilers that are fitted with atmospheric burners, fan assisted atmospheric burners and are hereafter referred to as boilers.
Where the word boiler is used, this is to be read as the boiler including its connecting ducts, ducts and terminals, if any.
This European Standard covers gas-fired central heating boilers type B11, B11BS, B12, B12BS, B13, B13BS according to the classification in CEN/TR 1749:2009:
a)   that have a nominal heat input (on the basis of net calorific value) not exceeding 70 kW;
b)   that use one or more combustible gases of the three gas families at the pressures stated in EN 437;
c)   where the temperature of the heat transfer fluid does not exceed 105 °C during normal operation;
d)   where the maximum operating pressure in the water circuit does not exceed 6 bar;
e)   which are declared in the technical instructions to be either a low temperature boiler or a standard boiler. If no declaration is given the boiler is to be considered a standard boiler;
f)   which are intended to be installed either indoors or in a partially protected place;
g)   which are either not intended to produce hot water, or are intended to produce hot water either by the instantaneous or storage principle, the whole being marketed as a single unit.
h)   which are designed for either sealed water systems or for open water systems.
This European Standard is to be used in conjunction with the General Requirements Standard EN 15502 1.
For applications within the scope of the PED further requirements may be necessary (e.g. situations where the maximum allowable temperature exceeds 110 °C, or where volume times maximum allowable pressure is over 50 bar x litres).
This standard provides requirements for boilers with known constructions. For boilers with any alternative constructions, which might not fully be covered by this standard, the risk associated with this alternative construction shall be assessed.
An example of an assessment methodology, based upon risk assessment and which covers the essential requirements of the Gas Appliance Directive, is given in Clause 11.
This standard does not cover all the requirements for:
i)   appliances that are intended to be connected to gas grids where the quality of the distributed gas is likely to vary to a large extent over the lifetime of the appliance (see Annex DD of EN 15502 2 1:2012);
j)   appliances using flue dampers;
k)   appliances that have a nominal heat input (on the basis of net calorific value) exceeding 70 kW;
l)   appliances of the types A, B14, B2, B3, B4, B5 and C;
m)   appliances intended to be connected to a (common) flue having mechanical extraction;
n)   appliances with gas/air ratio control;
o)   modular boilers;
p)   boilers which can give rise to condensation under certain circumstances;
q)   boilers intended to be installed in a room with a foreseeable negative pressure relative to the pressure in the flue system.
NOTE   Negative pressure relative to the pressure in the flue system can for example be caused by mechanical or thermal ventilation in airtight buildings.

Heizkessel für gasförmige Brennstoffe - Teil 2-2: Heizkessel der Bauart B1

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren insbesondere für den Bau, die Sicherheit, die Gebrauchstauglichkeit und den Energieeinsatz sowie die Einteilung und Kennzeichnung von gasbefeuerten Zentralheizungskesseln fest, die mit atmosphärischen Brennern mit oder ohne Ventilator ausgerüstet sind und nachfolgend kurz „Kessel“ genannt werden.
Wenn das Wort Kessel benutzt wird, muss es als Kessel einschließlich seiner Verbindungsstücke, Rohr und Windschutzeinrichtung, falls vorhanden, gelesen werden.
Diese Europäische Norm schließt gasbefeuerte Zentralheizungskessel der Bauarten B11, B11BS, B12, B12BS, B13 und B13BS entsprechend der Einteilung in CEN/TR 1749:2009 ein,
a)   die eine Nennwärmebelastung (bezogen auf den unteren Heizwert) von nicht mehr als 70 kW haben,
b)   die mit einem oder mehreren brennbaren Gasen der drei Gasfamilien mit den in EN 437 genannten Drücken betrieben werden,
c)   bei denen die Temperatur der wärmeleitenden Flüssigkeit unter normalen Betriebsbedingungen 105 °C nicht überschreitet,
d)   deren maximaler Betriebsdruck im Wasserkreislauf 6 bar nicht überschreitet,
e)   die vom Hersteller entweder als „Niedertemperaturkessel“ oder als „Standardkessel“ bezeichnet werden. Wenn keine Angabe gemacht wird, wird der Kessel als „Standardkessel“ betrachtet,
f)   die dafür vorgesehen sind, entweder in Gebäuden oder an einer teilweise geschützten Stelle aufgestellt zu werden,
g)   die dafür vorgesehen sind, nach dem Durchlaufprinzip oder nach dem Speicherprinzip Warmwasser herzustellen, wobei das Ganze als eine Einheit vertrieben wird,
h)   die entweder für geschlossene oder offene Wassersysteme ausgelegt sind.
Diese Europäische Norm ist in Verbindung mit der Norm EN 15502-1 für allgemeine Anforderungen anzuwenden.
Für Anwendungen innerhalb des Anwendungsbereiches der Druckgeräterichtlinie (DGRL, en: PED) können weitere Anforderungen erforderlich werden (z. B. Situationen, bei denen die höchstzulässige Temperatur 110 °C überschreitet, oder wenn der Wert Volumen mal höchstzulässiger Druck über 50 bar  Liter liegt).
Diese Norm enthält Anforderungen für Kessel mit bekannten Bauweisen. Bei Kesseln mit alternativen Bauweisen, die eventuell nicht vollständig durch diese Norm abgedeckt werden, muss das Risiko, das mit dieser alternativen Bauweise verbunden ist, abgeschätzt werden.
Ein Beispiel für eine Bewertungsmethode, die auf Risikoanalyse beruht, und die wesentlichen Anforderungen der Gasgeräterichtlinie abdeckt, ist in Abschnitt 11 angegeben.
Diese Norm behandelt nicht alle Anforderungen für:
a)   Geräte, die dafür ausgelegt sind, an ein Gasnetz angeschlossen zu werden, bei dem die Qualität des verteilten Gases über die Lebensdauer des Gerätes wahrscheinlich stark schwankt (siehe EN 15502 2 1:2012, Anhang DD);
b)   Geräte, die Abgasklappen benutzen;
c)   Geräte, die eine Nennwärmebelastung (auf Basis des Heizwerts) nicht über 70 kW haben.
d)   Geräte der Bauarten A, B14, B2, B3, B4, B5 und C;
e)   Geräte, die an eine (gemeinsame) Abgasanlage mit mechanischer Abgasabführung anzuschließen sind;
f)   Geräte mit Brenngas/Luft-Regelung;
g)   Modulierende Brenner;
h)   Kessel, bei denen bei bestimmten Bedingungen es zur Kondensation führen kann;
i)   Kessel, die für die Innenaufstellung vorgesehen sind mit einem negativen Druck im Vergleich zum Druck im Abgassystem.
ANMERKUNG   Negativer Druck im Vergleich zum Druck im Abgassystem kann zum Beispiel durch mechanische oder thermische Lüftung in luftdichten Gebäuden hervorgerufen werden.

Chaudières de chauffage central utilisant les combustibles gazeux - Partie 2-2: Norme spécifique pour les appareils de type B1

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences et les méthodes d’essai concernant les chaudières de chauffage central utilisant les combustibles gazeux et dotées de brûleurs atmosphériques ou de brûleurs atmosphériques assistés d’un ventilateur, ci-après dénommées « chaudières », en particulier leur conception, leur sécurité, leur aptitude à la fonction, leur utilisation rationnelle de l’énergie, ainsi que leur classification et leur marquage.
Lorsque le terme « chaudière » est employé, il sous-entend la chaudière ainsi que ses conduits de raccordement, conduits et terminaux, le cas échéant.
La présente Norme européenne couvre les chaudières de chauffage central utilisant les combustibles gazeux de types B11, B11BS, B12, B12BS, B13 et B13BS conformément à la classification du CEN/TR 1749:2009 :
a)   dont le débit calorifique nominal (basé sur le pouvoir calorifique inférieur) est inférieur ou égal à 70 kW ;
b)   utilisant un ou plusieurs combustibles gazeux appartenant aux trois familles de gaz et aux pressions indiquées dans l'EN 437 ;
c)   dont la température du fluide caloporteur ne dépasse pas 105 °C en fonctionnement normal ;
d)   dont la pression maximale de service dans le circuit d’eau ne dépasse pas 6 bar ;
e)   déclarées comme étant des « chaudières à basse température » ou des « chaudières standard » dans la notice d'installation. Si aucune déclaration n'est faite, la chaudière doit être considérée comme une « chaudière standard » ;
f)   destinées à être installées à l'intérieur ou à un emplacement partiellement protégé ;
g)   non destinées à produire de l'eau chaude, ou destinées à produire instantanément de l'eau chaude ou capables de la stocker, l'ensemble étant commercialisé sous forme monobloc ;
h)   conçues pour des circuits d'eau fermés ou ouverts.
La présente Norme européenne doit être utilisée conjointement avec les exigences générales de la norme EN 15502-1.
Pour les utilisations entrant dans le domaine d'application de la Directive 97/23/CE pour les équipements sous pression, des exigences supplémentaires peuvent être nécessaires (par exemple dans des situations où la température admissible maximale dépasse 110 °C, ou lorsque le produit volume par pression maximale admissible est supérieur à 50 bar x litre).
La présente norme fournit des exigences pour les chaudières dont la construction est connue. Pour les chaudières de construction différente susceptibles de ne pas être couvertes par la présente norme, le risque associé à cette construction différente doit être évalué.
L’Article 11 donne un exemple de méthodologie d’évaluation basée sur l’évaluation des risques et couvrant les exigences essentielles de la Directive 2009/142/CE pour les appareils à gaz.
La présente norme ne couvre pas toutes les exigences concernant :
i)   les appareils destinés à être raccordés à des réseaux de distribution de gaz où la qualité du gaz distribué est susceptible de varier considérablement tout au long de la durée de vie de l'appareil (voir Annexe DD de l'EN 15502-2-1:2012) ;
j)   les appareils utilisant des registres de tirage ;
k)   les appareils de débit calorifique nominal (sur la base du pouvoir calorifique inférieur) supérieur à 70 kW ;
l)   les appareils de types A, B14, B2, B3, B4, B5 et C ;
m)   les appareils destinés à être raccordés à une cheminée (commune) à extraction mécanique ;
n)   les appareils munis d’un dispositif de contrôle du rapport air/gaz ;
o)   les appareils modulants ;
p)   les appareils pouvant donner lieu à condensation sous certaines conditions ;
q)   les appareils destinés à être raccordés à un système d’évacuation des produits de combustion conçu pour fonctionner sous pression ;

Standard EN 15502-2-2 določa zahteve in preskusne metode, zlasti v zvezi s konstrukcijo, varnostjo, ustreznostjo namenu in racionalno porabo energije ter s klasifikacijo in označevanjem plinskih kotlov za centralno gretje z nameščenimi atmosferskimi gorilniki, atmosferskimi gorilniki z ventilatorjem, v nadaljevanju: »kotli«. Kjer je uporabljena beseda kotel, to pomeni kotel skupaj s povezovalnimi vodi, vodi in terminali, če so prisotni. Ta evropski standard zajema plinske kotle za centralno gretje tipov B11, B11BS, B12, B12BS, B13 in B13BS v skladu s klasifikacijo v standardu CEN/TR 1749:2009: a) z nazivno močjo (glede na neto kurilno vrednost) do 70 kW; b) ki uporabljajo enega ali več gorljivih plinov iz treh družin plinov pri tlakih, navedenih v standardu EN 437; c) kadar temperatura tekočine za prenos toplote ne presega 105 °C med običajnim delovanjem; d) kadar najvišji obratovalni tlak v vodnem omrežju ne presega 6 barov; e) ki so v tehničnih navodilih deklarirani kot »nizkotemperaturni kotli« ali »standardni kotli«. Matters related to quality assurance systems, tests during production, and certificates of conformity of auxiliary devices are not dealt with in this series of European Standards Relation between this standard and EN 15502-1: This European Standard will be used in conjunction with EN 15502-1:2012 and follows the numbering structure of EN 15502-1:2012. This European standard refers to clauses of EN 15502-1:2012 or adapts clauses by stating in the corresponding clause: - "Shall be according to EN 15502-1:2012, [clause number] with the following modification"; - "Shall be according to EN 15502-1:2012, [clause number] with the following addition". - "EN 15502-1:2012, [clause number] is replaced by the following"; - "EN 15502-1:2012, [clause number] is not applicable". This European Standard adds clauses or subclauses to the structure of EN 15502-1:2012 which are particular to this standard. It should be noted that these clauses and subclauses are not indicated as an addition.
