La présente norme européenne définit les nuances de fontes blanches résistant à l'usure par abrasion. Elle spécifie également les nuances en terme de: - composition chimique; - dureté. Les types de fontes blanches résistant à l'usurepar abrasion traités dans la présente norme sont: a) les fontes non-alliées ou faiblement alliées; b) les fontes au nickel-chrome de 2 catégories générales: -fontes à 4% Ni -2% Cr; -fontes à 9% Cr - 5% Ni; c) les fontes à haute teneur en chrome réparties en 4 gammes de teneur.
