Founding - Designation system for cast iron - Material symbols and material numbers

This European Standard establishes a material designation system either by symbols or by numbers for cast iron.
The designation system by symbols is applicable to:
a)   standardized cast iron materials (see 2.1);
b)   non-standardized cast iron materials (see 2.2).
The designation system by numbers is only applicable to standardized cast iron materials (see 2.1).
NOTE   The use of a designation system by symbols does not necessarily imply that the material is standardized.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Werkstoff-Bezeichnungssystem entweder durch Kurzzeichen oder durch
Nummern für Gusseisen fest.
Das Bezeichnungssystem durch Kurzzeichen ist anwendbar für:
a) genormte Gusseisenwerkstoffe (siehe 2.1);
b) nichtgenormte Gusseisenwerkstoffe (siehe 2.2).
Das Bezeichnungssystem durch Nummern ist nur für genormte Gusseisenwerkstoffe anwendbar (siehe 2.1).
ANMERKUNG Die Anwendung eines Bezeichnungssystems durch Kurzzeichen bedeutet nicht zwangsläufig, dass der
Werkstoff genormt ist.

Fonderie - Système de désignation pour la fonte - Désignation symbolique et numérique

La présente Norme européenne établit un système de désignation des fontes par des symboles ou par des
numéros.
Le système de désignation par symboles s’applique :
a) aux fontes normalisées (voir 2.1) ;
b) aux fontes non normalisées (voir 2.2).
Le système de désignation par numéros ne s’applique qu’aux fontes normalisées (voir 2.1).
NOTE L'utilisation du système de désignation symbolique n’implique pas nécessairement que le matériau soit
normalisé.

Livarstvo - Sistem označevanja železove litine - Označevalni simboli in številke za material

Ta evropski standard vzpostavlja sistem označevanja materialov železove litine s simboli ali številkami. Sistem označevanja s simboli velja za a) standardizirane materiale iz železovih litin (glej 3.1); b) nestandardizirane materiale iz železovih litin (glej 3.2). Sistem označevanja s številkami velja le za standardizirane materiale iz železovih litin (glej 3.1). OPOMBA: Standardizirano označevanje s simboli ne pomeni nujno, da so materiali standardizirani.
