Aircraft ground support equipment - Specific requirements - Part 2: Catering vehicles
This European Standard specifies the technical requirements to minimize the hazards listed in Clause 4 which can arise during the commissioning, the operation and the maintenance of catering vehicles when used as intended, including misuse reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer, when carried out in accordance with the specifications given by the manufacturer or his authorized representative. It also takes into account some requirements recognized as essential by authorities, aircraft and ground support equipment (GSE) manufacturers as well as airlines and handling agencies.
This European Standard applies to self-propelled catering vehicles, with seated driver, equipped with a liftable van body.
This European Standard may be applied to catering vehicles used for other purposes provided that a suitable risk assessment is carried out to identify additional hazards or limitations in the requirements of this standard for a particular application. Similar vehicles e.g. cleaning equipment, equipment used for the exchange of aircraft seats, are also covered by this European Standard.
This European Standard does not establish requirements for noise and vibration.
NOTE EN 1915–3 and EN 1915–4 provide the general GSE noise and vibration requirements.
This European Standard does not apply to pneumatic systems.
This European Standard does not apply to unmodified automotive parts approved for public vehicles in the EU and EFTA., when used on a catering vehicle for the purpose for which they are designed.
This part of EN 12312 is not applicable to catering vehicles which are manufactured before the date of publi-cation of this standard by CEN.
This part of EN 12312 when used in conjunction with EN 1915 1, EN 1915 2, EN 1915 3 and EN 1915 4 pro-vides the requirements for catering vehicles.
Luftfahrt-Bodengeräte - Besondere Anforderungen - Teil 2: Catering-Hubfahrzeuge
Diese Europäische Norm legt die technischen Anforderungen zur Minimierung der in Abschnitt 4 aufgelisteten Gefährdungen fest, die bei Inbetriebnahme, Betrieb und Wartung von wie vorgesehen verwendeten Catering-Hubfahrzeugen auftreten können, wenn diese in Übereinstimmung mit den Anweisungen des Herstellers oder dessen Beauftragten ausgeführt werden, einschließlich vom Hersteller vernünftigerweise vorhersehbarer Missbrauch. Sie berücksichtigt auch einige Anforderungen, die von den offiziellen Stellen, den Herstellern von Luftfahrzeugen und Bodengeräten (GSE, en: ground support equipment) sowie Luftverkehrs- und Abfertigungsgesellschaften als wesentlich erachtet wurden.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für selbstfahrende Catering-Hubfahrzeuge mit Fahrerplatz und anhebbarem Kofferaufbau.
Unter der Voraussetzung, dass eine geeignete Risikobeurteilung zur Identifizierung von zusätzlichen Gefährdungen oder von Einschränkungen bei den Anforderungen dieser Norm für eine besondere Anwendung durchgeführt wird, darf diese Europäische Norm für Catering-Hubfahrzeuge gelten, die für andere Zwecke genutzt werden.
Diese Europäische Norm enthält keine Festlegungen für Gefährdungen, die durch Lärm und Schwingung verursacht werden.
ANMERKUNG EN 1915-3 und EN 1915-4 enthalten die allgemeinen Anforderungen hinsichtlich der Lärm- und Schwingungsminderung von Luftfahrt-Bodengeräten.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für pneumatische Systeme.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für unveränderte Fahrzeugteile, die in der EU und EFTA für öffentliche Verkehrsmittel zugelassen sind, wenn diese an einem Catering-Hubfahrzeug für den Zweck angewendet werden, für den sie konstruktiv ausgelegt sind.
Dieser Teil der EN 12312 gilt nicht für Catering-Hubfahrzeuge, die vor der Veröffentlichung dieser Norm durch CEN hergestellt wurden.

La présente Norme Européenne spécifie les exigences techniques pour réduire les phénomènes dangereux énumérés à l’article 4 qui peuvent survenir lors des opérations de mise en œuvre, d’exploitation et de maintenance des camions commissariat dans des conditions d’utilisation normales, y compris un mauvais usage raisonnablement prévisible par le fabricant, lorsqu’ils sont réalisés conformément aux spécifications données par le fabricant ou son représentant légal. Elle tient également compte de certaines exigences reconnues comme essentielles par les autorités, les constructeurs d’aéronefs et de matériels au sol ainsi que les compagnies aériennes et les agents de manutention.
La présente norme s'applique aux camions commissariat autotractés, avec conducteur assis, équipés d'un fourgon élévateur.
La présente Norme Européenne peut s’appliquer aux camions commissariat utilisés à d’autres fins dans la mesure où une évaluation appropriée des risques a été réalisée pour identifier les phénomènes dangereux ou les restrictions supplémentaires dans les exigences de cette norme pour une application particulière. Les camions similaires tels que les matériels de nettoyage, les matériels utilisés pour le remplacement des sièges d’aéronefs, sont également couverts par la présente Norme Européenne.
La présente Norme Européenne ne s’applique pas aux systèmes pneumatiques.
La présente Norme Européenne ne s'applique pas aux pièces automobiles non modifiées approuvées pour les véhicules publics dans l'Union Européenne et l'Association Européenne de Libre Échange, lorsque celles-ci sont utilisées sur un camion commissariat conformément à l’usage pour lequel elles ont été conçues.
La présente Norme Européenne ne fixe pas d’exigences pour les phénomènes dangereux dus au bruit et aux vibrations.
Note le bruit et les vibrations sont traités respectivement dans l’EN 1915-4 et l'EN 1915-3.
La présente partie de l’EN 12312 ne s’applique pas aux camions commissariat fabriqués avant la date de publication de la présente norme par le CEN.
