Diese Internationale Norm legt vier Verfahren zur Messung der Dicke von Textilfördergurten fest. Verfahren A beschreibt die Ermittlung der Gesamtgurtdicke. Verfahren B beschreibt die Ermittlung der Dicke der Deckplatten. Verfahren C beschreibt die Ermittlung der Dicke der Karkasse. Verfahren D beschreibt die Ermittlung der Dicke der Zwischenschichten.

La présente Norme Internationale prescrit quatre méthodes de mesurage de l'épaisseur des courroies transporteuses à carcasse textile. Elle n'est pas applicable ou valable pour les courroies transporteuses légères décrites dans l'EN 873. La méthode A décrit une méthode de détermination de l'épaisseur totale de la courroie. La méthode B décrit une méthode de détermination de l'épaisseur des revêtements. La méthode C décrit une méthode de détermination de l'épaisseur de la carcasse.
