This European standard applies to corrosion resistant steel castings for general purposes. This standard relates to castings manufactured from matensitic, austenitic, fully austenitic and austenitic-ferritic steel grades characterised by their chemical composition and mechanical properties. In cases where castings are joined by welding by the founder, this European Standard applies. In cases where castings are welded: - to wrought products (plates, tubes, forgings); - or by non founders; this European Standard does not apply.

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für korrosionsbeständigen Stahlguß für allgemeine Verwendung. Diese Norm gilt für aus martensitischen, austenitischen, voll austenitischen, und austenitisch-ferritischen Stahlsorten hergestellte Gußstücke, die durch ihre chemische Zusammensetzung und ihre mechanischen Eigenschaften gekennzeichnet sind. In Fällen, in denen Gußstücke vom Gießer zusammengeschweißt werden, gilt diese Europäische Norm. In Fällen, in denen Gußstücke geschweißt werden: - zusammen mit umformbaren Erzeugnissen (Bleche, Rohre, Schmiedestücke,...) - von anderen als Gießern gilt diese Europäische Norm nicht.

La présente norme européenne s'applique aux aciers moulés résistant à la corrosion d'usage général. Cette norme est relative aux aciers moulés de nuances martensitiques, austénitiques, entièrement austénitiques et austéno-ferritiques caractérisés par leur composition chimique et leurs caractéristiques mécaniques. La présente norme européenne s'applique lorsque les pièces moulées sont soudées par le fondeur. Lorsque des pièces moulées sont soudées: - à des produits corroyés (tôles, tubes, pièces forgées); - par des non fondeurs; la présente norme européenne ne s'applique pas.
