Adopted by CEN as EN ISO 2419:2024, this standard is applicable to all types of dry leather and replaces the 2012 edition. Conditioning is required to achieve uniform moisture and dimensional stability so test results are reproducible and comparable.

Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies" in collaboration with Technical Committee
CEN/TC 289 “Leather” the secretariat of which is held by UNI.

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2025, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2025.
