Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an die Konstruktion, Funktion, Verpackung und Beschriftung von Raketen und die entsprechenden Prüfverfahren fest. Sie gilt für Feuerwerkskörper, die als Raketen in die Kategorien 2 und 3 in der prEN 14035-2 eingruppiert sind.
Sie gilt nicht für Raketen, die pyrotechnischen Satz enthalten, in dem eine der nachfolgend aufgeführten Substanzen enthalten ist:
¾ Arsen und Arsenverbindungen,
¾ Blei und Bleiverbindungen,
¾ Kaliumchlorat mit einem Massenanteil an Bromaten von mehr als 0,15 %,
¾ Mischungen mit einem Massenanteil an Chloraten von mehr als 80 %,
¾ Mischungen von Chloraten mit Metallen,
¾ Mischungen von Chloraten mit rotem Phosphor,
¾ Mischungen von Chloraten mit Kaliumhexacyanoferrat(II),
¾ Mischungen von Chloraten mit Schwefel,
¾ Mischungen von Chloraten mit Sulfiden,
¾ Pikrate und Pikrinsäure
¾ Quecksilberverbindungen
¾ Weißer Phosphor,
¾ Schwefel mit einem Masseanteil an freier Säure (als H2SO4) von mehr als 0,002 %,
¾ Zirkon mit einer Korngröße von weniger als 40 µm.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences de construction, les performances, l'emballage primaire et l'étiquetage des fusées, ainsi que les méthodes d'essai correspondantes. Elle s'applique aux artifices de divertissement classés comme fusées de catégories 2 et 3 dans l'EN 14035-2.
Elle ne s'applique pas aux fusées dont la composition pyrotechnique comprend l'une des substances suivantes :
¾ arsenic ou composés d'arsenic ;
¾ mélanges contenant une fraction en masse de chlorates supérieure à 80 % ;
¾ mélanges de chlorates et de métaux ;
¾ mélanges de chlorates et de phosphore rouge ;
¾ mélanges de chlorates et d'hexacyanoferrate (II) de potassium ;
¾ mélanges de chlorates et de soufre ;
¾ mélanges de chlorates et de sulfures ;
¾ plomb ou composés de plomb ;
¾ composés de mercure ;
¾ phosphore blanc ;
¾ picrates ou acide picrique ;
¾ chlorates de potassium contenant une fraction en masse de bromates supérieure à 0,15 % ;
¾ soufre présentant une acidité (exprimée en fraction de masse d'acide sulfurique) supérieure à 0,002 % ;
¾ zirconium ayant une taille de particule inférieure à 40 µm.
Les schémas d'essais de type et d'essais de lot des fusées sont respectivement spécifiés aux annexes A et B.

Vertical stability (type test)8.2.1 Apparatus8.2.1.1Wooden block, rectangular, with an upper surface inclined at 10° to the horizontal.8.2.1.2Mounting device, comprising a steel tube fixed to an annular steel base-plate, with an overall height of300 mm. The tube shall have an inside diameter of 17 mm and an outside diameter of 20 mm. The base-plate shallhave an inside diameter of 20 mm and an outside diameter of 65 mm and the outside edge of the bottom face shallhave a radius of 1 mm. The height of the base plate shall be such that the total mass of the mount is 600 g.8.2.1.3Timing device, capable of being read to the nearest 0,1 s.8.2.2 Procedure for category 2 rockets8.2.2.1Place the mounting device (8.2.1.2) on inclined surface of the wooden block (8.2.1.1) and position therocket by inserting the stick, or one of the sticks (for rockets with more than one stick), into the tube.8.2.2.2 Using the timing device (8.2.1.3), observe and record whether the rocket falls over within 5 s.
