WC and urinal flushing cisterns
This European Standard specifies design, performance requirements and the test methods for WC and urinal flushing cisterns with flushing mechanism, inlet valve and overflow.
This document covers flushing cisterns designed to be connected to drinking water installations inside buildings.
This standard does not cover automatic valveless siphon flushing cisterns for flushing urinals.
NOTE Flushing cisterns for one-piece WCs and close-coupled suites are covered by EN 997.

Diese Europäische Norm legt konstruktive und funktionelle Eigenschaften sowie Prüfverfahren für Spülkästen für WC Becken und Urinale mit Spülmechanismus, Füllventil und Überlauf fest.
Dieses Dokument gilt für Spülkästen, die ständig an die Trinkwasser Installationen in Gebäuden angeschlossen sind.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Automatikspülkästen ohne Ablaufventil nach dem Saugheberprinzip zur Spülung von Urinalen.
ANMERKUNG Spülkästen für Einstück-WCs und WC-Kombinationen werden durch EN 997 abgedeckt.
Réservoirs de chasse d'eau pour WC et urinoir
La présente Norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques relatives à la conception et à la performance ainsi que les méthodes d'essai applicables aux réservoirs de chasse pour WC et urinoirs comportant un mécanisme de chasse, un robinet de remplissage et un trop-plein.
La présente Norme européenne ne couvre que les réservoirs de chasse devant être raccordés à des installations d'eau potable dans les bâtiments.
Cette norme ne couvre pas les réservoirs de chasse automatiques sans siphon pour le rinçage des urinoirs.
NOTE Les réservoirs des WC monobloc et des ensembles WC à réservoirs attenant sont traités dans EN 997.

Ta evropski standard določa zasnovo, zahteve glede zmogljivosti in preskusne metode za izplakovalnike stranišč in pisoarjev z mehanizmom za izplakovanje, dovodnim ventilom ter prelivom.
Ta dokument obravnava izplakovalnike, ki so namenjeni priključitvi na omrežje s pitno vodo v stavbah.
Ta standard ne obravnava samodejnih sifonskih izplakovalnikov brez ventilov za pisoarje z izplakovanjem.
OPOMBA: Izplakovalniki za enodelne straniščne školjke in prigrajene naprave so obravnavani v standardu EN 997.
