This standard establishes provisions for the labelling of the composition of the components of the plumage for use as fillings and of the fowl species from which such components are derived (waterfowl or landfowl). It is applicable to finished feather and down materials, used as filling of manufactured articles, at each stage in their commercial distribution. This standard is not applicable for fillings totally containing more than 0,5% of foreign matter (3.6).

Diese Norm legt Vorschriften zur Kennzeichnung der Zusammensetzung der Elemente eines Gefieders zur Verwendung als Füllungen und der Geflügelart fest, von der solche Elemente stammen (Wassergeflügel oder Landgeflügel). Sie ist anwendbar auf fertig bearbeitete Federn und Daunen, die als Füllungen für Fertigartikel in jeder Stufe der Handelskette verwendet werden. Diese Norm gilt nicht für Füllungen, die insgesamt mehr als 0,5% Fremdbestandteile (siehe 3.6) enthalten.

La présente norme donne les clauses d'étiquetage de composition concernant d'une part les composants d'un plumage utilisé comme produit de garnissage et d'autre part les espèces d'oiseaux dont proviennent les composants (oiseaux aquatiques ou terrestres). Elle est utilisable pour les plumes et duvets prêts à l'emploi, utilisés comme matériaux de garnissage de produits manufacturés à toutes les étapes de leur commercialisation. La présente norme n'est pas applicable aux garnissages qui contiendraient au total plus de 0,5% d'éléments étrangers (3.6).
