The text of this document is based on the former 8th draft standard ISMF 104:2018 (International Ski
Mountaineering Federation), which was developed with international participation.
This document is one of a package of standards for mountaineering equipment, see Annex A.

1 Scope
This document specifies the dimensions and characteristics of the interfaces, requirements, test methods
and marking of ski mountaineering boots and of clip-on binding crampons which are fixed together with
attachment at the boot toe and boot heel, the proper fixed function of which depends on the dimensions
and design of the interfaces.
