L’interprétation suivante a été acceptée lors de la réunion du CEI/SC 23F de Seoul en octobre 2004.
Il est proposé de comprendre le mot « maintenir » dans l’expression « pour maintenir en place les parties
transportant le courant » comme suit.
Une partie transportant le courant ou une partie du circuit de mise à la terre maintenue par un moyen
mécanique est considérée être maintenue en place. L’utilisation de graisse ou similaire n’est pas considérée
comme un moyen de maintien mécanique.
En cas de doute, pour déterminer si un matériau isolant est nécessaire au maintien en position des parties
transportant le courant et des parties du circuit de mise à la terre, le dispositif est examiné sans les
conducteurs puis présenté dans toutes les positions après avoir retiré le matériau isolant en question.
